Just think if we were all Gaute, we could walk away today as millionaires just from stock and options from funcom...

He owns 128,500 options plus 162,500 shares of Funcom stock.

If he cashed all that out and walked away from Funcom today, he'd have $1,420,776.00 (based on today's exchange rate) just from being the game director for AoC todate.  Not to mention his salary on top of this.

Some of us are definately in the wrong business.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

Well, Bill Gates started from his garage I believe. The Google boys were students when they made google. Not sure what you're trying to say but game director is not the most profitable job in the computer business.

Well, considering he was one of the few founding members of Funcom, and the last of that group to still be with the company, I would hope he had a sizeable amount of shares of stock in the company. Makes sense to me. Nobody in their right mind goes to work for free.
