petless MM

anyone, for fun, ever make and level a petless MM?  i know it wouldn't be optimal; but a game is for fun. 

i guess i'm just kicking around ideas for new fun ingame and looking to see what others have been trying.

soooooooooooooo anyone tried one of these?  i'm thinking teaming might be a necessity.  although, if you learn to play your toon and are in a decent SG; that shouldn't be a problem at all.

could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

    If you are looking for advice try to get a hold of someone from the Repeat Offenders coalition on Freedom, virture, and Justice server. I know Altoholic Monkey had a petless MM. You might pm her on the official forum about it.

    If you want to take it 1 step further, some peoples play only with their secondary.

     

    I would not do either myself, I like my primary, I like my pets, I like everything which make my character stronger.  But I understand that some peoples put themselves such challenges.

     

    I also see a guy taking tier 1-4 only, no matter the pool.  Again, not for me, but I understand they have quite some limitations.

    It's been done, specifically by people who wanted a character with pistols. So they take thugs but no pets.

    It's highly suboptimal. If you do that, make sure you put it in your search info so teams know. I might invite someone like that on a team for fun, but I'd be highly annoyed if I expected a full-fledged MM and got a petless one instead.

     Ive got a robots/traps master mind and if i was to try and play her without her pets up she would die incredibly fast. Masterminds do rely a lot on their pets for dps output more so that say certain build controllers (the ones with the pets)d.

    although you could try and play a petless mastermind you would probbly be better off rolling a coruptor instead.

    i just know that if i was grouping up i would invite a master mind for the pets not for their dps, pets do bring more than just damage output you can control big incs quite well with pets switching agro around to get it off folks. OR just assisting on the epic mob.

     

    Trust me pets are great.

    Petless MM have been around since release of CoV.  There are posts on the forums about this and people would do the usual race to endgame petless.  So, yes it has been done.
