im a former EQ/FFXI player. im a huge fan of games that very much do more group grind/quest then anything and love endgame stuff (FFXI has alot of this wich i adore) basicly i need somthing new to hold me off til the new SE MMO (might be yrs) or until Warhammer (i think it might make me love RvR)
id pref a few things, 1: more group then solo 2:not be point and click (hate that for some reason) 3:have some endgame to it 4: F2P (though i doubt it) but p2p is fine (trials dont hurt) 5: somthing no more then a couple yrs old (dont wanna be getting into a game were most everyones maxed/community is dying out)
ive already tryed EQ2(not bad but older and the more click click click on hotkey combat kinda turned me away along w/ the age) LOTRO (i think il wait til the expansion b4 i try this again [lacked more groupy style and endgame, still does i think])

The Big MMORPG List
figures, the only other thing that is group style these days is Vanguard wich was severly dissapointing. tiny community, awkward look, lots of problmes...didnt last long for me. o well gotta wait til OCt. for WAR
Did you check out City of Heroes/Villians? That's pretty group oriented, you can do everything with a group. I don't think anyone really solos, and you can group right off the bat. As for end game I've never made it to max level, but supposedly there are all kinds of things to do. The game is a little old, but I just picked up the trail again and there are plenty of people to group with, so you should definitely give it a look. I believe this site has a 14 day trail you can use.
Dare I say...World of warcraft? I wager youll also enjoy LOTRO. If not, perhaps DAOC PVE content (althogh most play that game for its PVP content.
Using the MMORPG Finder, for 10 Fantasy genre games (Both F2P and P2P) ...the search was based on PVE gameplay and Newer games....
PVE Gameplay
Newer Games
Below are suggestions for MMORPGs to investigate based on the criteria that you placed. The lists below are generated based on a consensus from many reviews from multiple sources. The games listed at the top of the lists are those which best match your input criteria. However, it is not to say that those games are THE best. Every game is a unique. Gameplay experience will vary from player to player. It is our hope that this code can give you some solid leads and send you in the right direction. I wrote an article on how to find a new MMORPG..you can find it HERE
Sequential Method
This method ranks all MMORPGs based on the first desired feature, chosing the best and then ranking the remaining upon the second criteria, then the third, etc.
Cumulative Method
This method ranks all MMORPGs based on the cumulative total of all desired features. Each feature you selected is given equal weight.
Hope this helps

im actually givng LOTRO another sot, gunna DL the tial for my other PC ever gets working...somthing suks about linksys, been having lots of ssues w/ it lately. WoW...oy dont get me started as to why that game makes me wanna punch a baby, so i wont. guess il see as to how that goes. ty guys
I love LOTRO and would encourage everyone to at least try it, but if you don't want a game that's more solo oriented then this may not be the game for you. There is a lot of group stuff to do, but you can basically solo pretty easily from 1-50.
I don't remember how old it is, but from what I've read about it, Lineage II sounds like it would be a good game for you. It centers heavily on group/guild activity from what I understand. It seems to be a pretty deep game too. There are a lot of high level players, but I'm sure that they roll alts, especially with the recent release of a new race.
Hope this helps!
Hi,
I think Guildwars would be a great game for you although there isnt alot of endgame stuff except of the great PVP in tournaments etc...
Greetz2Z
If you come from EQ/FFXI I think you would really enjoy Everquest 2.Granted its P2P but its well worth it imo.
You do need a high end computer to run it with acceptable graphics though.
