just a quickie

Just wondering if anyone would be able to tell me a good server/perma-death guild to join. It seems like a very good idea in my opinion that if you die you stay dead. I know some don't feel the same way however I feel that you shouldn't really die if what you're doing is thought out like it should be. So if anyone has any information on this or would like to just chat it up some. Also so you know I am pretty new to this game so anything helpful you would like to add would be appreciated.

I think Sublime is probably the largest perma-death guild, but here's a list:

The permadeath guilds actually attract a lot of players new to the game. I know of one player in the Sublime that has never played non-PD and actually picked up DDO because he had heard about permadeath.

A few tips that may help your first character survive the Harbor:

    • Be careful around named Troglodyte Shamans and Ogres, they have caused many team wipes when the group underestimated their strength. These guys are tough fights even on Normal.
    • If somebody in the group has a high enough Spot skill to warn the group of traps stay behind them!
    • If you have to go AFK find a dark corner and go into stealth mode.

I'm thinking of rolling a perma death character myself. I play on Thelanis and the biggest guild I've seen is Sublime.

My suggestion is roll a cleric =P

The sleeper awakes...and rides his dirtbike to the mall.

If you make a healbot for permadeath play prepare to be very bored :)  Make your clerics speced for combat, crowd controll, debuffs/buffs. There is not a whole lot of healing needed in most groups.
