hello!
a friend of mine told me that the ones who have ordered the Collectors Edition will be able to play next week in some kind of beta...? either this is just a huge load of bullshit but thats why i'm here, i wanna know if its true 
... SO is there anyone who have heard anything of this?

Pre-ordering the CE will only get you an open beta access code but that probably won't start for a while.
Open beta is about to start about 8 weeks before release, so it's gonna be around Fall 2008. Guild beta starts before open beta, so you won't be in for a long time.
Don't say they scammed you or something, they said clearly that people who pre-ordered the game, will get in the Open Beta.
It clearly says on the CE info page that it's Open Beta Access, and no MMO designer would be so stupid to go open beta more than 6 months before release...so, no beta for you in a long time (unless you get lucky with the random beta invites).

It's all bullshit. There is nothing happening next week or for that matter next month.
Head outside and enjoy the spring weather and stop waiting on a game that is a long way from done. Those that ordered CE will get in around Sept. and not a moment before.
There is a conspiracy.....to keep up the HYPE and make people HUNGRY... if you don't believe it you know nothing about marketing
well I read on the site where i ordered the CE from that the 10th of april they are gonna send out some kind of beta keys but it didn't say what kind of beta keys. open beta keys probably ? :O
They send out their keys once a week.. or rather the people you buy it from do, in the case of gamestop. In my case I recieved them monday, a beta key and 2 others (headstart key and goodies key). The beta key was accepted in the beta application site they have, but the status still remained 'applied' and not much else happened.. no info on when it will be available, except in the email from gamestop which just says:
OPEN BETA ACCESS DATES: TBA. This site is currently in development. Please check https://betacenter.eamythic.com regularly for updates and further instructions.
Some companies aren't sending out the Pre Order Bonus codes until April 3 or later depending on who you got it from. Thats probably what your seeing with the mention of the 10th. Someone pre ordered the CE and was told their codes would arrive on the 10th.
Nothing is happening with Open Beta. They are still doing random invites for Closed beta and the contest winners from the Boom! Studios Comic book but thats pretty much it.

You make it sound as it they give beta testers extra info about this sort of thing - which they do NOT.
Plus, you can discuss the game in general like anyone would - its just commenting on things you learn from ingame content or beta forums... which like i said doesn't extend to open beta dates... or even general release dates.
I say its all fluff - they just aren't treating the beta in that manner, where they would let the masses at it when dev is still in progress.

but my Open Beta code from Amazon *expires* June 10, 2008
the other 2 codes do not expire until 12/31/2008 (headstart) and 12/31/2009 (ingame items)

The original release time frame was Q2 which is in June. I think by default that expiration date is set according to what they though the open beta date was going to be. Hopefully though they fix that for people who buy the CE after June (if any are left). hehe

Unless you hear it directly from Mythic's mouth don't believe any rumor like this. While I would be thrilled if this were true I sincerely doubt it.

It definitely won't be open beta next week. They still need to do Guild Beta before any open beta. It may just be the dropping of the NDA. Mark Jacobs has stated numerous times that he wants to drop the NDA sooner then later and well before open beta.
