Graphic Options

Does anyone know the graphic settings in this game such as anti-alias, filtering, water detail, field vision, sound quality.  Do you think there is going to be a sound enhancer in Aion like a EAX.  What kind of sound is it 5.1, 7.1, 2 speakers?

Granted NC has made some "alterations" here and there to adapt CryEngine 1 to suit the mmo side of things, but the engine is for the most part intact.

Silly me I was reading the engines on wikipedia some time ago, but that just shows the potential of the engine I think the options depend on the game designer and what they will supply.  I know ArchLord has EAX and stuff Im going to go look up the graphics engine used in that game once.  I am currently downloading FarCry as we speak to get a general idea of the Cry Engine.

it will most likely support up 7.1 surround and EAX. you can force AA and AF through the drivers if you want it higher and I know the cryengine has a pretty incredible draw distance if that helps.

Good about the sound I love my 7.1 surround.  I got an 8800 ultra so I run it on higher resolutions so I don't really need to force AA on and stuff, but I still can I guess

I'm sure in game AA will go at least to 4x as is the trend for most games. I've always thought that anything after that is hard to notice and eats up to much performance.
