yes, there was a rumour going about a half a year ago.

    news.filefront.com/elder-scrolls-online-rumor-surfaces-again/

Apparently, a lot of fans were up in arms about it. Many stated they would be pissed if the converted the Elder Scroll Series into a MMO.

I, mean, let's face it. The Developers for recent AAA mmos has been shittastic at best and has about as much talent and creativity in their skull as my dog has in his crap.

I can't blame the fans for being worried. MMOs today = Crap.  Even the ones coming out thats so overhyped.

I think Developers of these companies needs to reinstill a sense of accomplishment with the MMO playerbase first before they decide to screw up another franchise.

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

Personally I have always thought it would be a fantastic mmo. They wouldn't necessarily need to discontinue the single player series either. They could have both.

I also agree that most mmos are garbage and think the fact that they have levels and an end game. Take EvE Online for example, probably the best system on the mmo market.  I mean a system where you can learn any skill as long as you invest the time and money into it. Fantastic. The only problem with Eve, and this is strictly my opinion,  there just isn't enough content as far as questing. You can only run so many missions and mine so many rocks before your head hits the keyboard. Anyway, I'm not here to bash Eve, it's a great game and I had a great time playing it for 3 solid years.

Now if someone would only come out with a fantasy-type mmo with a skill system like eve's....

Well to be fare to EvE it was never intended to be a PvE based MMO. CCP are however making a fantasy based MMO Based on the World of Darkness franchise by White Wolf. So we will see in a few years if CCP can pull of a decent fantasy game.

Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981

yes it's true, CCP are at work on the World of Darkness based MMO.  It was announced shortly before the first announcements for avatars in Eve so that would put the announcement at what a year or 18 months ago
