Interesting AOC Interview//DF revenge?

Remember how DF last week said bad things about AoC? Well, whilst reading upon some interviews regarding Hyborias land design, i stumbled across something the AoC dev said in response.

This is the interview:

Question:

MMOZone: Because of their long development cycle MMO games have the tendency to deviate from the original game concept and ideas. To what extent has Age of Conan deviated from the original vision for the game?

Questionable Response by Dev:

Ultimately, we don't want to be so entangled by our feature list that the game comes out lesser because of it.

As you know, DarkFall is known for the large lists upon lists of features it promises.

Could this be a subtle attempt at getting back at Darkfall? Here is a cool photo of AoC

    Dude.... Seriously....

He didn't even mention the word Darkfall in that interview, he is in no way suggesting otherwise either.

FYI this interview came out before the Warcry stuff did.

    Pharamond:
Obviously, we've had to cut features that simply weren't workable or fun, but that's all part of the development process. Gaute just did an interview where he said he wanted to have 4 main concepts in the game from the very beginning, all those years ago. Those were: Hands-on combat, the atmosphere of Robert E. Howard's works, siege combat, and "you can be king." While we had to drop the last one, the rest are all in.

The central vision is still intact, while some of the features didn't work out. But, ultimately, you (or at least I) can always tell when a developer shoe-horned in a feature that didn't work or wasn't very fun, but they stuck to their guns because they had a bullet point to meet or they were being stubborn or their fans demanded it. Ultimately, we don't want to be so entangled by our feature list that the game comes out lesser because of it.

There is the full quote, and not laid out like mis-representation like your post.

Btw its a Screen Shot not a Photo. He is saying it as it is.

hahahah. AmazingAvery, you really do not like anyone give off any publicity for this game do you? How am i supposed to know when an interview came out? This is a theoretical and fun post, why so serious?

    **edit

and i really do not think anyone is concerned over the difference of the words photo and screenshot

Its not publicity, you are trying to make something outta nothing. That is the truth.

Goto the Darkfall forums here at mmorpg.com, they have a nice long thread about it. Or goto the official forums and talk about it, or go see the posts that were locked on forumfall about it.

In all honesty, your getting at nothing in Pharamonds interview in trying to link the two scenarios. They are unrelated and unlinked and your only reason to try and make them linked is to cause more Shit Stirring. Thats something that most of us here can't be asked to talk about.
