Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning: Staff Shirts on EBay for Charity

SzarkSzark News ManagerMember Posts: 4,420

Sanya Weathers (formerly of EA Mythic, now at Guildcafe) has placed her EA Mythic Warhammer Online Staff Shirts up on Ebay. The proceeds of the auction will go toward finding a cure for MS.

From Guildcafe:

This is real. I should know, they were my shirts when I was an employee at EA Mythic. Pass the link to all the WAR fans you know - the money is going towards finding a cure for MS.

Check it out here.

Okay I am a bit confused...when I first clicked on the letter I got another website ..not MMORPG.com.

My thoughts....its admirable what this person is doing ...but they are a FORMER employee of EAMYTHIC...if I read the story right.

I applaud that person's efforts to try to help people who are stricken by MS.   Thats a good thing.

But I am wondering how this relates to Warhammer other than the shirt they had from their former employer.

Maybe this person is hoping that EAMYTHIC steps up to the plate and offers some sort of donation to

    the cause?   Perhaps.

But its not really "WARHAMMER ONLINE:  AGE OF RECKONING news.... ( until and or unless there is some sort of commentary made by the actual EAMYTHIC staff or higher ups) .....I was directed to the Guildcafe website at first...which totally confused me for a moment til I understood what was going on.

Maybe we'll hear from EAMYTHIC if they are also contributing to this cause in some fashion or other?

Thanks for allowing me to share my thoughts.

I don't understand. They are shirts that are branded: "WARHAMMER ONLINE: Age of Reckoning".

Warhammer fans might be interested in this while being able to contribute to a great cause.

Well...there's a difference between a FORMER employee doing an activity that mentions Warhammer..ie the shirt off their back,   and actually hearing from say...the horse's mouth EAMYTHIC whether its considered to be Warhammer news.

This person isn't affiliated with EAMYTHIC any more...are they...so they can't be considered an official source of Warhammer news...only a former employee flogging their work shirt for a good cause. :P

On the OTHER hand, if EAMYTHIC steps up to the plate and pretty much sanctions this as something they are pushing for advertising and to help along that ex-employee's cause...that would  be cool don't you think? ^^

Sanya was by far the best PR official  for any MMO i've seen so far. Playing DAOC she was always on top of any questions from the community. Everyone in our community knew it; sadly corporate takeover in the gaming industry is ruthless.

    Sad to see you go.
