I just recently look at an article about the Africa MMO. This game looked like it could have some good content, but the game never made it to production. This make me wonder what other good MMO ideas never made it or MMOs that came and died due to not enough players or the developers canned the project?
Please share your thoughts on MMOs that never came or MMOs that made it to production, but died.
I know I am 2 years late about Africa MMO, so please do not throw me down the river on this.

Dark and Light
Created the largest MMO world ever seen, probably to this day. 99.9% of it was devoid of content. Bug ridden. Was one of the most anticipated games. Sold 8,888 pre-release copies in two hours. Once the game was released it was dead within 2 months. I think you can still download the game client and explore the world on your PC.
Wish
I think this was a pretty anticipated Codemasters progect. Not sure what Happened but the plug was pulled leaving a pretty big fan base wishing they handn't ever heard of wish.
Asherons Call 2
Was released and was canceled within 3 years
Imperator
Sci Fi based game. Looked like it had promise, not sure what happened to it.

True Fantasy Live Online.
It was the reason I got a Xbox, and to this day I think it could have been the first real MMO to take the numbers up high if it would have been for pc instead of xbox.

Really great guy actually... just got caught up with a bad company like a few others of us.
Africa is still a big Document he has on his desk at home last I spoke to him (4 months ago roughly). Roughly my metric weight in paper and ideas and mockups.

"When people tell me designing a game is easy, I try to get them to design a board game. Most people don't last 5 minutes, the rest rarely last more then a day. The final few realize it's neither fun nor easy."
