Good and bad news here,They have a letter of intent from a publisher to launch the game in the USA at the sametime as europe,Which will please guys in the states,The bad news is it will delay till q3/q4 for this to be possible and for further polish,Here is a link to the thread.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Well it seems the delay did get the game some space on C&VG site,Although maybe not exactly hype..

Being in the US myself...I am a very happy person today...
Good news for all players as this will hopefully get more interest in what could be an amazing game.
Yep some will be happy and others like me dissapointed at yet another delay, but if you read this post

I feel that they were ready to release in europe with, like it said in that post an unfinshed game as the cash flow was running out,With the new publisher in the US I am sure there will be a nice check and they have another 6 months to finish the game.
Alot of game release in europe or far east or the states and then branch out,TCoS if ready would have been released in europe on time,Fact is it is not ready and there seems to be a new term"final polishing" which really means"man this game just aint ready"
Fact is this US publisher has probally saved TCoS from a bad(maybe even unrecoverable)release.
So another delay and we can only hope the last 1.

How nice . Really, I am so surprised. Oki my Dutch friends, I will play AoC. Usually it takes to me about 2/3 years to be bored about mmorpg but good luck anyway. I expected a bit more fron next few monts but ..... . Aww #@!$ it, my new comp is prepared for AoC so gogogo Stygians .
edited.
I see next problem. American market is worth less than European (difference is small, about 300 millions $, reason is low prize of $ but nevermind, it is not story about economy).
Company prefer grab new market, ye it is sensible but ... . Soon we will have few new mmorpgs. WAR, AoC and who know what else.
To be honest it looks like suicidal move, without big marketing action it will nearly invisible between X new titles. Yes, of course TCoS will works some time but I am afraid they loose a lot of customers just due date of releasing. Q2 was last chance for sensible entrance, later it just will too late. If I am right noone cared about European release of WoW and servers infrastructure (game was playable without some @#$ after year or something). Really I do not see reason to wait for USA publisher, that is lame. Next thing, is it sensible to compare beta test to releasing game and improving througt patches? .
Hm, better you than me.

As said, both good and bad news. Was really hoping to try this little gem out as fast as possible, but I can wait. Hopefully the Americans get their publisher now and we all get a even more polished game
But what if it is?
I dont know what i would do, its like a evil god or something is playing with all mankind for fun. And i dont like that idea.
Still good to hear they have a publisher and a "release date"....i think.

If it is SOE I am 100% sure they will lose players,As for the "release date" man ,I really dont know,They have delayed over a year now and now they want to go head to head with, what could be 5 AAA+ titles,I have to be honest and say I see them either delaying again till 2009 or facing a very very hard winter.

I dont think it will be SOE, since they have mmos coming out don't they? around the time they have moved this games release to.
If it was SOE, I would not worry to much about it. SOE would not be the sole publisher, they have Frogster (which is a phone company I think lol) and two other publishers to contend with. The only real mistake I have seen SOE make lately is they messed up the advertisements in Europe for Pirates of the burning sea and they would not be dealing with those countries anyway since that is Frogsters area.
European release is not solely done by Frogster. Frogster is publishing only in the French and German speaking countries in Europe. Mindscape is the publisher for the rest of Europe.
I am betting it will be Atari, Inc. as publisher for North America.

Living in the land of delayed release dates.... Maybe if I stop checking then when a game gets released I will be surprised.

I hope for their sake that they don't release in Q4, because the poor thing will be utterly raped by Warhammer's Fanbase =(
Although I'm not really looking forward to TCoS, I will say that delays are nothing but good.
