If you want a invite back code (account must be inactive at least 90 days)  just pm me with your email address.  Also have a few trial codes too.

       Dumb question here...

If I sent someone an invite back code and they turn out to be one of those companies that do either the e-mail or in-game spamming and are reported. Will CoX follow it back to me and give me greif and wanting to know if I'm involved or ask how I am associated with the person I invited back?

    I've been wondering that myself.

On the one hand, I'm sure they know that the side effect of having so many trials available is that it helps the spammers out, and realize that it's easy to give codes to people you don't really know. On the other hand, if someone's "invited" list turned out to be nothing but spammers, well that may indeed look suspicious.

Talking just trials (which are the more appealing spammer targets anyway), I've probably given out 16+ since the program started. Of all those, 1 person ended up subscribing, the other 15 were trials expired (or in some cases code never used :( ). I'm sure that several were people needing an account to spam for 2 hours before getting banned. I haven't heard anything yet.

Incidentally, free game time for a referral is a nice bonus. But if you're going through the motions strictly hoping to get paid off, have you considered the actual time vs benefit? Consider how long it takes you to check the boards, look for someone who wants a code, go over to your account management, get a code sent, see if it's been used, etc etc. Then multiply that several times to include the dead ends.

Added up, I bet you it takes more than an hour for each "invite back" bonus, which is worth 2 weeks or about $7. Now if you're 13 and too young to work, that's one thing. But for everyone else, you could earn more working at McDonalds. Myself included.

Which is why it's cool to invite people and get rewards, but I wouldn't get over excited. I think the real benefit is getting more players to a game that deserves it.

Thank you for the reply. I've had only one invite friend and that was my brother. Who wanted to play anyway, so it worked out to my advantage. But as of late, he's been trying to get some free time by sending out the invites. I just wanted to put a warning out to him if there were going to be problems from NCSoft for doing it if it falls in the hands of spammers.

I'll just sit back and watch what happens. If he's kicked off, I know why. If not, good for him. I'll still crush his little Dominator with my Tank Every Time ! ! ! !    Muha ha ha ha...

  • Hi i have been thinking about trying this game for a while now and i just read the post "Want to try CoH. Quitting WoW. Have some questions" and this game sounds like alot of fun.

I was wondering if anyone had a trial key for this game and i notice you mention above that you have a couple. If you wouldn't mind sending me one to oldschoolrules@hotmail.com i would be very thankfull.
