Is more how you grind... mindless grinding like pwning mobs over and over is bad for players in occidental places... why... i dont really know.. i just know...

people here like quest.. missions... objectives... inmmersion...

is like chinese dude... omg... i screw up 1000 mobs in one hour...

    american dude.... awesome storyline...

I played Perfect World mostly at it's English version release..

I made it to level 80 within the first couple months and was among some of the highest levels around..

    Then, the grind killed me.

At that point, all I could do to level up was fight random mobs.. And only at 10 hours straight of consistent killing would I see another level... Couldn't do it!

But I did have fun with the game on my way there.

It's not bad to try, especially because it's free.

kurush, she isn't riding a land mount on top of a flying mount... The tiger is a transformed Barbarian (or werebeast, whatever u might call it) and is similar to druids transformations spells... PWI has a feature wich enables players to carry others (only men carrying women though) in a cool, cuddly way. You can even carry someone while riding your mount, and thats what they are doing in the pic. Riding land mount on top of a flying mount would be ridiculous! xP

I'm hoping that the "real" English version which goes into beta shortly addresses the leveling issues as far as implementing more and varied quests  all the way through endgame. That will take away alot of the "grind" feel. I'm also hoping they have real native English speakers doing all of the text. The Malaysian-English version was at least understandable, but far from perfect.

Well, it's been said in interviews that they're holding the translation in high regards so hopefully that's not PR bullshit and it'll be real quality stuff. Hopefully.

I hope so, I really did enjoy PW. Looks like they've got the downloads for the client setup now, so guess I'll go beat the rush. lol

This will be my first time trying out the game but I definitely like the idea of a f2p port that doesn't contain broken English. Down with convention! And thanks for the heads up on the download availability. Snatch it while it's fresh.

This game's grind is far easier than most MMORPG. iRO has a far worse grind than this game, so I have no idea what are you talking about.  It takes more than 2 years in iRO to get 99/70 and geared, in Perfect World you can get  CAP less than 2 years and geared.  Someone mentioned they caped in Chinese version which was above level 130? In less than 2 years.

If your a MMORPG hopper than all grinding is horrible to you.
