I have to pay for another vanguard copy?

Just wondering, I have a new vanguard copy and tried to subscribe myself again to the game, but SOE is asking me to pay 39.99 for vanguard.. why do i have to pay again to subscribe? When I enter the key it tells me it's already been used?
Edit: It's asking me to buy a "game package for vanguard"

Well, if you already used your key to make an account, then you need to reactivate that account, not attempt to make a new one with the same key. Unless I am misunderstanding you? If you want to create an additional account then yes, you need another copy of the game.
I understand.. rather I'm on the subscriptions page of my account and i'm trying to "Subscribe" because the current account is closed. I do not want "another" account I just want to open the one I originally had. It's however taking me to that "39.99 Vanguard game pacakge" then to the "14.99 1 month recurring fee"
As Kassiah said, you must log into the original account. I recently resubscribed with my original username and all I had to do was reactivate the subscription by paying only the monthly fee.
Currently playing: No MMOs. They all suck.
Well ... I cant go look because I have a sony station pass and therefore an active VG account. If there is no way to reactivate a closed account, that is pretty horrible! I have never come accross that in an MMO. Sorry I cant be of more help.

As far as account, this was the only account i've registered with vanguard, i'm basically just lost as to what else to do. Oh well, looks like I won't be playing VGUARD :O !
ok i just went to SOE and acted like i was going to re-sub for eq2. click on my account, log in. drop down menu go to subscription info, do not go to activation, that is for new subs or promo codes for in game items and such, it is not for re-activating an account. i then get a list of games i was once subscribed to. i hit subscribe and it takes me to a screen that tries to sell me the station pass. i click no just regular sub button. next screen shows all expansion packs that i can buy for EQ2. i dont want any so i click button that takes me to next page that shows all my sub plans, such as monthly, etc..., choose one of those. you were asked to enter a key so that tells me you have went down a wrong path somewhere because the process i just described does not ask for any sort of key code.
right and it does take me there, but it also does this

I went through all the way, added my CC etc.. in the end it's making me buy the damn "software" purchase, rediculous..
