Xbox360 control use on PC

zanfirezanfire Member UncommonPosts: 971

i was wondering if off the bat if they will be able to use the 360 control i use on my PC for this. i know its more of an action style game and im not a fan of more fastpaced stuff  and using my keboard/mouse. i know this is comming to 360, but honestly if it turns out as good as it seems it will, i dont wanna wait another 4+ months to get it (if anything il just tranfer to 360 later)

does anyone know by chance?

I don't know but I think it's even against the NDA to say if there is joystick support.  If there was you could get the xbox 360 controller to work with it, but as for transferring to 360 that is iffy.  It will depend on if they mix servers or not and I feel like we won't know that until close to the 360 launch.  Maybe they will make an announcement on the main forums though eventually.

well i ment it more as il probly start fresh on X360 w/ my live friends (i like console MMOs better oddly enough) or if i happen to be on a mixed server (if M$ lets it happen) il just keep it going.

sucks they need to take off the NDA, or just in general let ppl know about smaller things like that...TELL ME IF U SUPPORT THE CONTROL XD

Well the good news is they will use the PC version like a pay for open beta and by the time it comes out on XBOX it will be really stable.  Nothing like gaming for hours on end on the couch.  No pc chair a$$ syndrome.

there are only 2 offical MMOs if u will wich ive played both for a while (EQOA=everquest online adventures and FFXI) there were also other more often considered "online RPGs" like phantasy star online and Monster Hunter. Ive never really had my own personal computer to use until a couple yrs ago (always had to share w/ everyone) so i never got much time to play alot. so the console MMOs (atleast the 2 mentioned above) have kept me very happy.

im just wondering (more so for the fact that its more of an action-esq battle system were a control movement/attacking would be nice and the fact that a eventualy its gunna be on xbox360 anyway, is why im wondering. Once Warhammer online comes out im obviously not gunna want a gamepad because its played out as a more tradional PC MMO (and the fact that its on PC only in the first place)

Aha FFX would be one , not to sure about EQOA there fits to well but ya is a fair question is someways you would think it would be easier to have a GamePad as a periphal for the game , not to sure i could deal with it though just dont have the accuracy but then again i guess its not a FPS.

Wireless keyboard and mouse + spare leaf from the dining room table + velco + recliner = PC gaming in comfort.

Well...also helps to have a big-ass monitor, to avoid eye strain.

Considering that the game will come out on xbox later on I would be very surprised if you could not use a keypad to play the pc version. From looking at the screenshots released with interface, it looks to me like you should be able to map everything vital to a modern keypad, so again it looks very possible.

    Just came across this:

AoC IS a Console game, of course it will work with a 360 controller, that's the native control system for the game.

The only reason it's launching on the PC first is that that's where MMO's traditionally reside, and they want to get it hammered out as best they can before unleashing the game on the 360, their target audience.
