Changing from PvP to PvE

in Age of Conan: Unchained

Will you be able to change from PvE to PvP and vice versa? From what I see a lot of people are hesitent about PvP but want to try it, my question is if we put in the time and effort into PvP then want to change to PvE or the other way around will it be able to happen? Also will there be any PvP on PvE servers, I thought I read something about it but I can't seem to find anything right now....

    Not really sure what your asking here?

    In regards to PvE, there are 80 levels on the "PvE" aspect of the game. These are gained via questing and exploring/leveling in the world of Hyboria.

    In regards to PvP, there are a set amount of "isolated" levels specifically gained ONLY by actively pvping (ie: different rulesets and modifiers apply when you go from pve to pvp that are applied to your toon when you interact in either/or process).

    Other than that information that was publicly released, I'm not sure what else your talking about?

    What im referring to is the fact that you chose to be on a PvP server or PvE server... If I chose PvP then discovered I did not like it would I be able to change to PvE (and take my character with me)

     Who told you that there are pvp and pve servers ? play other mmogs or go back to WoW .

    It is VERY unlikely ou will be able to change from PvE servers to PvP servers. This has come up in past games. Most games that care at all about PvP would say no to this simply because its going to be MUCH easier to both level up and get gear on a PvE server. Allowing people to then switch to a PVP server would grant an advantage.

    As far as other types of transfers: PvE to PvE, or PvP to PvE. There has not been any announcements yet, and I would doubt anything would be in at release. Most games do eventually put them in but not  till a year ot 2 after release. But it is possible

    There are PvP and PvE servers. Please feel free to check for yourself, they announced it some time ago. In fact, there are 3 types of servers: PvP, PvE, and rp-PvP.

    1 I didnt play WoW

    2 Way to make yourself look and idiot by trying to make fun of me because I haven’t had time to research everything about the game so I asked a simple question in the forums, when in fact you are the one who is wrong.

    There are PvP and PvE servers. Please feel free to check for yourself, they announced it some time ago. In fact, there are 3 types of servers: PvP, PvE, and rp-PvP.

    At launch, we are currently planning to have three kinds of servers.



    PvE



    PvE (or player-versus-environment) servers focus largely on players fighting against computer-controlled monsters and characters, with PvP limited to areas set aside expressly for that purpose.



    PvP



    PvP (or player-versus-player) servers have more widespread PvP rulesets, encouraging players to fight against each other.



    PvP-RP



    These are PvP servers with extra rules of conduct to encourage roleplaying and a more “in-character” feel in-game.



    This may change as we continue the Beta process and receive feedback from our testers and fans

    And to answer the OP's original question, I'd say no one knows.  I realize in WOW you can move from a PVP server to a PVE (but not the other way around) but I wouldn't bet on it.  If you start on a PVP server, expect to either stay there or re-roll on a PVE one.

    As an added tip, you may want to reserve your name on both servers if you have one in mind. Not a big deal, just saves you the trouble of thinking of a new name if you don't like the PVP server

    ...yea thats an Epic Fail right there Airstrike.

     

    Plus, I like WoW, its a decent game, but I already  know AoC is going to kick WoW's ass because the only reason i hated WoW was for the graphics, and just overall kiddy nature of it.

    maybe later on ull be able to do paid char transfers like wow
