If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

So in other words its not open beta.
Its just another beta to sign upto and then hope u get into it, lol Funcom.
Those 15k players will get the best items and equipment for the lvl 20 pvp they are going to play. They will not see anything which funcom dosnt want them to see. It will be the same like tech tests where you play ctf pvp games.

No pleasing some folks I guess*sigh*Do you honestly think they are going to let upwards of 1millon people in?If you read the post there will be 10s of thousands in the OPEN BETA,So if you dont get in you can be sure there will lots of info availible on this site and others like it.

Actually almost all open betas work this way. You always have to register, but some do give keys out right then. However there is always a limit. If they have three servers up and each can hold 3,000 then they might cap out the open beta at 30,000 people. If the cap gets reached they may open more servers. They are basically saying they will let in tens of thousands of people at a time, but they can't just uncap it.
Well, darn. I was hoping they'd have an open beta so I could try it out for myself.

Well they get announced tomorrow so i'd assume they would be able to download from tomorrow through the end.
Also it runs 4pm est Friday through Sunday not three hours silly~

Cool. Sorry about the confusion. Picked up the three hours from somewhere. I hope they have a blast anyway. Then again, it is still beta so we have to take their word with a grain of salt. J/K I know, what you see now is what you get at release. There is no time left for that big of changes.
