Pretty sure from the combat videos that you start with three buttons for attack angles and this increases to five as you level plus you will have combo skills that you will have to activate then use the corrisponding attack angles so the "three button mashing" to me seems much more interactive and indepth then most other games.
Well if your 30+ you might become slower and less atracted by these kind of games, but luckly for funcom the major population of MMORPG players proofs to be between 18-26 (student who are not slow and like mature stuff)
Just to let the old grand dads that are swarming this game realize that this is not a 30 plus age protected game. This ain't ment offensive but some of us are getting slightly bored with all the "it all belongs to us" talk.
Im 33 & been playing MMO's since EQ1 Kurnak release & in all my days i have to say even kids bring something to the table infact for most part i find the kids that actually do play MMO's tend to be very mature, yet the older gamer are usually the cry babies, myself included on the rare occassion
Personally i like to have a diverse age range i think everyone has something to offer within a community even if your the village idiot on the server.
I agree, i bet AoC will have the same kind of Eula than any other game. This is a crazy world and somehow you can see in tv at daytime blood, parts of bodies, etc... but seems games have to be rated 18+ for that somehow... as i said crazy world... Also it seems nudity is just for adults, with this rotten morality that is an illness everywhere. And of course ppl can talk freely in rl but not in a mmorpg, even if its about an "uncivilized world" like Hyboria. So in the end what makes this game really for adults?? absolutely nothing as far as i know. Ppl will play AoC as any other game, like if it was EQ but called AoC, cause Conan is cool and such but at the minimal lack of respect they will cry to a GM

No troll, just fact peoples. I wonder what mature MMPRG lover will like the combat type which is focused on smashing 3 buttons. The game looks more focused to be played on consoles that on regular PC, from what I seen in the screenshots/movies.

Most MMO's have how many buttons you mash? every MMO is about key mashing in combat.
Other than old UO where you didn't have styles or anything if you were melee... However, casting spells in UO was still mashing buttons... 3 to be exact.. para.. explosion and corp por.. /repeat
So since 3 buttons seems to be the problem.. the only thing I can figure is you played a Bonedancer in DAoC and only want to mash 1 button... which used to be insta life tap but is now.. /pet attack and /run away (the pet attack is the only one on a button so its still 1 ;p)
No I don't know if you played DAoC I'm just trying to figure the logic behind your statement.
I'm not sure how.. the number of buttons you mash is relevant to a pc or a console. Since we are talking MMO's here.. which one required you to mash more than 3?
Heck even in pre-cu swg which I loved personally... a master pikeman doing a pve mission (as you stated you weren't interested in pvp) used... 1 button... (an aoe spin attack) press that 2 or 3 times.. nest dead.. money collected. That is just an example..
So now I want you to give me an MMO where I must mash say.. 10 buttons to get through combat...
