AoC : Special Edition

in Age of Conan: Unchained

I have readed you get unique items if you buy it, like a ring that gives more experience and stamina.

If this is true, there will be an important difference between the ones buying a SE and the ones with normal AoC. Probably this cant be right as wouldnt make any sense. Anyone knows if its true ?

    If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

    Not much, but can be a difference of one lvl in the top lvls. Still dont like at all that some get something better just for paying more. Very dissapointing.

    This isn't the first game to have XP bonus items as a pre-order perk. The actual benefit is generally negligable.

    I have just readed too that you get special items depending on the store you buy it image
    In amazon uk you get a amazon bow of lvl 20-30 which is quite amazing just for buying a different version of the same game.

    And i know other games do similar things, and i didnt play to those games for the same reason, but AoC seems so great i probably will play it anyways, but this doesnt look so good now, we will see.

    True, but a +5 Ring of Face Melting is probably going to become a better choice than and extra 2% xp long before this becomes the case.

    Yes some sites are giving bonus's like the rhino mount as pre-order rewards,They differ from site to site.

    Well, maybe the ring its not much difference but having a rhino knowing that mounts can attack too i think that will make a bigger difference unless mounts are cheap in AoC, and generally mounts are not cheap in mmorpgs.

    And a bow of 20-30 lvl is also a big difference for ppl starting.

    Well I dont know the prices but I think you will find that the rhino and mammoth wont be all the expensive,The horse on the other hand will I think be the usual expensive thing to buy.

    Well, the thing about the Ring may sound unfair, but I bet there will be better XP modifier rings available later on in the game, that everyone will be able to get.

    I wonder why a horse can be more valuable than a rhino, for combat a rhino must be awesome. Unless in this game they put rhinos that are as feeble as chickens.

    A horse will be your travel mount,it goes alot faster and that is why it will be worth more,Rhino's and Mammoth's are siege mounts.

    One thing to take into consideration is the fact that Rhino's and Mammoth's will handle much more sluggish and slow. As someone else said already, they are Siege Mounts, with the main purpose of actually tearing down fortifications.

     

    The Horse on the other hand is swift and nimble and can still deal out damage in combat, plus you can travel faster and so on and so forth.
