Looking for an Eve-like MMO

I've just stopped playing EvE online and I've appreciated some parts of it and disliked others enough to stop playing.

I'd like to know if there are any MMO's out there that have an almost fully player generated market and the amount of PvP occasions that were present in Eve.

I've been hoping for one to come around for a long time, as well.  The social/political/economic model of EvE is great.. the point and click movement interface and having to wait 10 months for some new skill to use (literally) is just annoying.   Roma victor might have come close had it actually worked, at least the barbarian side of things. 

 

Here's to hoping some developers somewhere sees how much people enjoy that sort of structure and incorporates it in a new mmo, one that doesnt have EvE's flaws.  Perhaps Jumpgate:Evolution if that works nicely, as a scifi title.. or earthrise, or one of those smaller company titles.  I'd hope bioware does it in their secret mmo, but I am pretty sure thats going to be another craptastic wow clone, how ever interesting they make the story lines (bioware's strong point).
