As far as i can tell it is not possible to get

a) Early access

b) Free mount

if you order the collectors edition.

Well it seems the pre-order bonuses and the Collectors edition are mutally exclusive sup with that!

Go to gamestop, look up Age of Conan.  Click the regular version.  Scroll down and see the bonus items.  Then hit the back button.  Click the collector's edition.  Scroll down and see the bonus items.  Bonus items are based on the place you order from.  Not all of them have bonus items.  There is a sticky at the main Age of Conan boards that lists vendors with pre order items.  If you pre order either version from any of them you get the pre orders.

Replace gamestop with any site you want to use.  Like Amazon.com gives an Amazon bow as the item.

I should say that there is no where in the UK that you can get Pre-order bonuses with the Collector's edition.

Gamespot I beleive is an US store.

I know at Gamestop/EB Early Access and the pre-order mounts are listed on the page, but you have to scroll way down past all the CE and the video and the screen shots. Basically since they're not exculsive to the CE, they're at the bottum, separate from the CE Bonuses, it's there though, I promise.

You can get a free war mammoth if you pre-order in the UK through Game. This deal only works with standard edition on pre-order and NOT the collector's edition; this point is explicitly stated. No war mammoth mount if you pre-order the collector's edition.

I wish funcom would sort this out and stick a bonus mount in the UK collector's edition (a hairy war mammoth maybe) to restore balance.

I think more people care about the "look" of their character than a drinking cape or xp ring. I would much prefer an alternative head or a cool mount or a weird pet, something that distinguishes my character visually.

I kinda regret pre-ordering the collector's edition now as I  feel the normal edition has a cooler  pre-order in game item.

Further to my original post, i am now forced to make a decision (here in the UK) whether to get the Collectors Edition or the Standard Edition (with the pre-order bonuses of a free mount and early access).

My question now is:

Will i be able to buy a mount in game?

Will i have the option to buy a Mammoth and/or a War Rhino?

I take it that even if i get a free Mount with pre-order, i won't be able to use it till i am level 40?

You will be able to buy mounts in the game,dont forget the mammoth and rhino are really just siege mounts the horse will be the travel mount of choice that is why you dont see any free horse mounts being given out,I cant honestly say what each mount will cost but I would imagine the horse mount will be the usual expensive thing and the other 2 mounts some way below that.

and yes you have to be level 40 to use any of the mounts.

Same deal with play.com in the UK you get a war Rhino and 8 extra inventory slots with the regular edition but the following the the CE.

In game items:
Ring of Acheron gives the player higher XP points
Drinking Cape one free drink in all of Hyboria's taverns

Which I assume is standard to the CE, also with a £60 price tag it's a bit steep, although it's priced the same as the WAR one so I expect that is the new price for CE's now.

Amazing that such a simple thing as "pre-ordering" is causing so much problems and heartache.

Some going so far as to question Funcoms ability to support their own product, which may be a bit strong but it is worrying.

The thread linked to has a pasted email reply from Game that states that they will now include the war mammoth with the CE.

I would calm down a little, your not out of pocket are you!

Funcom via Eidos will sort out whats going on with play.com for example. Eidos are the publisher.

EBgames /gamestop you can order online and download and get it delivered to the UK, with the pre order stuff. I would telephone EBgames near you.
