yep... 300 member guilds doing instanced port battles 6v6 at a time until all 300 ships have been sunk to see who wins the port... LOL   brilliant pvp... just brilliant.

Nothing new these days can get much worse than that.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

I bet POTBS is not as bad as Dark And Light.

Man that game deserves the award for all times worst released product.

is it really that bad right now for potbs?   That was one i was looking forward to more than AOC and once i got accepted into closed beta i was completely dissappointed, but i do remember the port battles being a 24v24 instance.  I never bought the game so i don't know how the release client is though.

DNL was another dissapointment also, i was one those unfortunate bastards that preordered the game, same with vanguard.

Yeah the recent games that have come out have been a disgrace. That can be good or bad for this game. If it's a solid well made game then people will flock to it cause they have been waiting for something that doesn't suck. On the other hand if it sucks it will be slammed mercilessly as another batch of pissed off gamers dismiss it as the next MMO failure.

This puppy will be faaaar better received than VG, DnL, PotBS me thinks

I pre-ordered PoTBS and was disappointed, and I pre-ordered AoC yesterday. Hopefully I won't be disappointed again or I'll never trust an MMO again.

HA HA have fun in AOC this weekend. Oh man I cant wait until I see what forum posts come up this weekend. They will be interesting indeed lol. Never pre-ordered never will and never will play it sorry.

Game will fail hard, going to love all the bitching and moaning that will persist throughout the open beta (umm if you want to call it that) and release. Broken promises all around.

    Enjoy.

    HA HA!

Thats what the internet is people constantly bitching and moaning, its getting sickening actually.

I mean, can you say "really informed" is appropriate here! lol

    How you know??

Bug free as WoW was at launch??? geez you where certainly not there at WoW launch because you would dare say such nonsense. If you where there you forgot fast because WoW was a mess with crash, disconnect and server blow up etc and even now there are still bugsthey havent fixed and yes they are not major bugs but still........

There are no mmo bugs free at lunch. For AOC i cant say if this is a good game but i dont thinks it will flop.

Rofl there's something comical about the way that troll said HA HA! at the end, reminded of me of some random super villian quickly flying in and doing something lame, like in that City of Zeroes comic lol.

Since release is very very soon, its going to turn out like MXO(the beta is bad right now)...Not hating or anything but i feel it WILL get delayed or have a failure launch.

    Playing: Everthing
    Played: DAoC,AC2,EvE,SWG,WAR,MXO,CoX,EQ2,L2,LOTRO,SB,UO,WoW.
I have played every MMO that has ever come out.

    Call it a prediction.

If they release in 2009 yes, if they release next month it will be the game with the most bugs at launch ever.

The devs still have problems running it at there own showings, What does that tell you?

Don't get me wrong i hope the launch and the game is great good for the devs and for the fans, but i feel the game will have a bad start or worse.

All i can say to fans and pre-orderers is good luck!

Eight months ago if you asked me what games I was most looking forward to I would have ranked 1) Pirates of the Burning Sea 2) Age of Conan.

So uh, yeah let's hope history does not repeat itself.

Hrm, A few months ago I was still debating which game I was more looking forward to, AoC or WAR.  Tho at this time I have decided against playing AoC I am not going to flame the game.  That said...

Something to consider as far as the devs inability to run the game at any shows... the version they are running is a "Show" version of the game, which is intended to not display certain features of the game due to the "Beta" version it is currently in.  And yes, the Beta version of the game is still going to crash.  It WILL run better in its release version than it does as a Beta... or at the very least will iron out the client stability errors people are currently seeing as a main-stay.  Will the game launch bug free?  Absolutely not.  It is not ready for that sort of launch.  It will have some problems, and will chase off some potential players.  It will make others apprehensive and lose them a few months revenue and then we will see a flood of posts here about how people are "Going to give it another try" or "old fans returning to the game in hopes it has improved" (Bloody hell I hate all of those posts.  STFU and go play the game.  We do not need to read your diary)

I digress... I do hope the game turns out well.  Enough people are looking forward to it, and the devs have put a good bit of work into it.  I truly hope it is a success.  Hell, then if WAR does not turn out as I hope, perhaps I will give this one a shot (won't post about that tho!) In the meantime, I do look forward to a FEW posts popping up with people telling us all about the woes of the game (Though they should all be taken with a grain of salt) and the comic relief is welcome... in moderation.  In closing... next post I hear about how "bug free" or "Polished" WoW was at launch, I am going to go kick a kitten!  Maybe two!

I have a perfect game for you who don't like pressing buttons and like steady pace of action

    http://www.progressquest.com/

    Enjoy, it's even f2p!

I actually bought PotBS after it released, but I just wanted to test it out and never had any reason to continue playing it - not really that much into pirates (I am more of ninja guy).

If the game flops I'll cry myself to sleep for the rest of the year.
