PvP Event : they gave key too late to donwload the game on time

They gave me the key yesterday and its supposed i must be able to download 6gb in one day!! Maybe where they live they have superb connections everybody but i just have dsl 1mb and after the whole night downloading with torrent i just have 13%, so i will have it finished by monday...

I just cant understand they way of thinking of certain companies, they dont live in real world.

    I have an 8meg connection so if your key is going to waste then Id happily receive it from you :)

    FunCom has a downloader which is a lot faster apparenetly but I think it was taken down.

    They already said this would happen, and they already apologized almost half a week ago.  They extended the beta test for 24 hours due to this.

    Again they released a torrent in addition to the gamespot downloader.

    The problem with the torrent is there are way too many leechers and nobody is sharing...even the parts they have already downloaded.  So everyone and their mother is getting a slow DL.  If anything I'm afraid of what that means for the AoC community....either they are just computer noobs, or greedy.  Anyways, I stopped seeding because I was sharing over 4x what I was recieving, and I was scheduled to be done the DL sometime next week.

    Yeah i got my beta key last night at like 7pm but i didnt check my email til 10am today friday. I doubt I'll have it all done by the time it starts but I"m sure I'll get to try it sometime this weekend so I'm not gona complain. I'm just using the gamespot downloader cause I know thats gona be faster than a torrent for me. I just have a basic dsl connection so unless your on dial up you should be able to get the files in a few hours to a day.

    dl off this instead of the gamestop dler. this is the funcom dler.

    will go alot faster.



    when u dl it , make a new folder to put the contents in then put the folder on ur desktop, when its done, open the setup folder in there and bam there ya go

    Downloaded and patched and ready.. I got my key Wednesday.

     

    Too bad I have to work till 7-8 CST so I won't be able to get on till late :(

    Not sure why anyone would not want to share... you can control it and the upload bandwidth doesn't much hurt normal network usage....  I've downloaded around 4gb so far and uploaded like 6gb.  I'm kinda new so I'm not sure what seeding means....  but my uplink is going at full speed the entire time.

    that site is a site that supports file hosting i uploaded my file, as soon as u dl it u will see, the big AoC dler from funcom, and there ya go

    cuz ur dling just the client, once u start the client it will dl the big 7gb file

    Uh, got mine last night and it will be finished in about 20 minutes.  Several hours before it starts.. Sorry about your luck.. I guess?
