There have been questions about if and how there will be an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) for the Gamespot PvP Beta Weekend. The facts are the following:
Yes there will be an NDA in place for the Gamespot PvP Weekend at first. The NDA will be lifted on Saturday, April 19th at 19:00 GMT (which is 15:00 EST and 12:00 California Time). After that time testers will be allowed to talk about their experiences in the PvP Weekend.
However, the NDA will still be in place for the General and Technical Beta of Age of Conan. So testers who are also a part of one or both of these phases of the beta will still be under NDA and will only be allowed to talk about their PvP Weekend experience.
It's important to know that even after the NDA will be lifted, testers will not be allowed to talk about anything that happened PRIOR to lifting the NDA but only about what their experiences are AFTER the NDA has been lifted. This means everything from Saturday, 19:00 GMT until the PvP Weekend ends on Sunday, 20:00 GMT.
I hope that answers most of the questions regarding the NDA during the PvP Weekend.

Is really simple. Maybe is not a simple "NO", or "YES", but is simple.
Has previous mmo's beta'snot taught you guys anything? 90% of time a company keeps nda right up till almost the end it's for a good reason usually meanin the game is either buggy as heck or it just flat out sucks Did WoW have this strict of a nda? nope did lord of the rings online? nope Then look at some of the bad mmos and look how they did with there nda much like funcom is now I personally cannot wait till nda is lifted so I can come here post and say ha ha told ppl so I have said it for 3-4 months now this game is gonna be a HUGE dissapointment I know for a fact am sure a few fanbois will say things like oh lots of promise and oh after a few patches but alot of ppl will be back to WoW and waiting for WAR to see if it can do a better job
don't you think it is funny that the game is <1 month away from release and the only thing you can talk about is 48 hours in controlled environment?

...and WAR has been doing a better job since announcement! They very regularly let us know whats going on, tell us whats broken...kinda hint at what they're working on and testing. Have a plethora of videos detailing the game systems.
Oh what was one of the updates for AoC...."we have launched a spanish ver of our site" think that was it.....OMG thats incredible to know! hahahaha

I am in now way shape or form planning on playing AoC. Any games whose community gets in a uproar about nipples is a community with a maturity lvl I will avoid. That being said, I hope the game is successful and everyone has a great time playing it. Why? Because I'm not a dick a I like to see people play their games in peace and have fun. Is that really so hard of a concept for people to understand?

Three things. First, I'm not a doomsayer. Second, I'm the one who said the would be delayed until October. I'm the one that said you could bank on it. I'm the one who came here and said looks like I'm wrong. If you notice, I'm the one that first posted May 1st, Open Beta here on the forums. Last, I don't recall anyone posting that Funcom would never lift the NDA. Some of us joked that it would be funny if they were the first to launch and keep an NDA in affect for a live game.
So, if you are going to quote people, do it right.

no it's not really funny, NDA will be entirely lifted sometime after open beta starts on may 1st read linky.This NDA lift is just a teaser to what the PVP system may or may not have to offer. Most poeple in this pvp weekend will be entirely new to AOC which will be just getting a teaser of the pvp part of the game, nothing else, and the reason the NDA will still be in effect for the general and technical beta stages is that they are testing a entirely different build on another server which that build is entirely different to what is being tested internally.

To bad that's all Mythic has going for it.I hope I'm wrong but WAR is gonna be the potted meat of MMOG's, with a better version of RvR tacked on.
If you want the same 'ol with POSSIBLY better RvR, then I guess you found the right game. To bad that's just all old to me....

Well first of all unless something changes this game will not have an open beta. 50k paid fileplanet subscibers is not an open beta sorry. I can call my cat a dog all day long that doesn't make him one. They said they would life the NDA "sometime" in may. So what they will lift it a week before release; that doesn't inspire confidence. Don't get me wrong they aren't obligated to do a real open beta or lift the NDA at all. If this game is actually good then I think it's a mistake to try and limit information. Now if this game is a pos then it makes perfect sense but I guess I'll find out here to some degree when this client is done downloading. This should be interesting if nothing else.
you don't understand though, i can't think of any game much less an MMO that the NDA was lifted until after a form of open beta has started. AOC seems to be keeping to this standard if they keep to their word and lift it shortly after the initial rush is over after may 1st

They are giving an open beta and lifting the NDA and now there is still something to whine about and to avoid it.
I know what's next,the same crap that happened in LOTR open beta where they took the servers down for patches and ppl were saying how unstable it was and to stay away,you guys will all whine about that also in AoC open beta and then will come the 3 day headstart,Again the samething as what happened in LOTR where the took the server's done for patching and ppl were whinning and even asking"we got a 7day headstart but the servers have been down for patching for maybe 2 days in total,they should delay the release so we get the full 7 days"
In other words you guys always find something to whine about nothing Funcom does will stop that.
