So, how many "sick" days do you think AoC playing will cause you in the 3 months following launch? How many days will you put on your best sick voice and go for that Oscar award over the phone to your boss?

None.  After all my job pays for all the fancy things I have like AoC and the PC I have to run it on.  Also can't forget rent, and food, and car, and gas which is damn expensive all of a sudden....  I think I'll go buy a motorcycle.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

I save all my sick days for summer anyway. AoC will just be added incentive.

Well; gamers have grown old; loans, kids, wife/husband, job responsibility and so on are just making us prioritize different than before.

Sure I`d quit my job at McDonalds to play the game; the job I have spent years of education and worked my way up to; NO.

Also when you have lived by yourself some years; moving back in Moms basement seems kinda like a step back....

None, as RL > computer games, and my job pays for my bills and gives me cash to spend on running and tinkering with my motorbike

And I sure hope the above quoted post was an attempt at sarcastic humour!! Quitting your job or splitting with your G/f (or B/f) to play a computer game? Preseumably 'l337 peeps ' in this case means 'unemployed anti-social adults still living with parents willing to carry them financially'......

Hundreds of years from now, it will not matter what size my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove... But the world may be different because I did something so bafflingly crazy that my ruins become a tourist attraction.

Since I work from home my boss doesn't even understand the concept of sick days, but at least I don't waste time commuting & could get extra gaming time from that.

Nice inuendo in the title by the way, was it inspired by all the threads discussing 'Boobies'?

If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"?
