Is this game a huge grind?

I've played so many MMORPGs and can't stand to go through another game that is just a giant grind.

From what I've heard, AoC has a much more extensive levelling treadmill than WoW (although they are similar in most respects), and also has a battleground/arena system like wow that favors grind over meaningful pvp.

Is there going to be any interested world pvp?
