A List of Pro's and Con's

Since I dont feel like writitng everything out in a un-needed amount of detail, im just going to list the Pro's and con's I have with the game, thus far.

 

Pro's

-Combat system is real, and fast. Parrying, dodging, blocking with sword or shield, they have everything in there that you could imagine, and once people start really getting control of the combat, every fight will look a thousand times different from the rest.

-Fatalities, When I played for a good 3 hours I had yet to see a fatality, then my friend popped on the game and within minute striked his first fatality with a broken Ore. He knocked his enemy to the ground and proceeded to stab the enemys stomach, making blood splash on the computer screen. After that I saw decaps and sword thrusts, and a variety of other Fatalites not only done by me, but on me as well.

-In game Music, gives you a real epic feel to whatever you are doing. Its basically a mix of Lord of the Rings and "Carmina Burana".

-Graphics, although for the PvP Beta, the hair graphics and a few other options like DX10 were turned off, overall the graphics in quality and style were there. The style to me is exactly what I have been waiting for, gritty in some spots, but beutiful in others, such as the starting island where you actually feel like you are in a amazon jungle.

-Character Creation, Coming from the promises of Vanguard to let you tweak everything and make the "Character you always wanted to make in a mmo", I was skeptical about the game CC. But wow, is it flawless. From broken jaws and nose, to scars on your body or your face. IT has so much to offer. Eye color, weight, height. Best Fantasy creation system I have ever seen for an mmo.

-Capture the Flag, to me in high school this was my favorite game to play, in AoC it is also my favorite PvP gametype. The best map by far is Blood Ravine, which has a great open size, and lets you have good combat on high cliffs or in deep valleys.

 

Con's

-No Nipples (but will be in by launch)

-PvP balance, is needed when it comes to overpowered Rangers, and Classes like Conqueror and a couple others feeling a bit too weak. Also to me I think that they need to add in more open map types and get rid of alot of the closed in spaces with maps.

-Rangers need a real FPS mode, not some cheap imitation over the shoulder mode.

-Controls, need to be a bit more fleshed out, and allow for a little more control. Possibly squeezing together differnet skill boxs or maybe making differnet trigger buttons.

 

Thats it for me guys enjoy.

I think all your cons will be adressed come launch except for the rangers,i dont see that happening

as for the nipples,ermm I will side step that.

Nice review and it seems most if not all enjoyed the test.

lol in the pvp weekend, every 10 mins you would hear a random.. where f are my nipples..

Personaly I like the over the shoulder mode instead of first person view.  I realy dont see whats wrong with that, Resident Evil 4 was great.
