From everything I'm reading, I don't think my system can handle the game in DX9 max settings. Tell me what you think.

Not Maxed out at a frame rate that would be pleasing to you personally I think, but dam sure close to it.
There are setting for viewing distance and stuff and detail in that. Wack it right up you get the candy but it can be a killer.

Depends as well if your a fan of bloom. Good tip I found is to keep V.Sync on.
Maybe not totally maxed at 1680x1050 or higher, but that's still a nice system, and should perform well.
If you play at 1280x1024 I can't imagine you not being able to handle max settings.
you should be fine maybe not max but it will do fine. might have to turn few thing's down or off but shouldnt
