Seems to be exactly like Darkfall, but not vaporeware and with great graphics.

BTW mods can you make a section for this mmo?

It's just a pre-rendered trailer ( yes it's using the game engine but it's still pre-rendered and scripted ) and nothing else. When they show actual game play footage of the world and give out the system specs to make the game look even remotely as nice as the trailer then we can talk.

Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2.

    Game(s) I Am Currently Playing:

    GW2 (+LoL and BF3)

No you are wrong. It is in-game.. You can tell it's in-game....  It's scripted ya , but that IS how it actually looks in-game.

It's using Unreal 3 engine..  That kind of quality can easily be made with Normal Mapping , and all the new advances the engines use now..

Its in game, you can tell. Its not that hard to believe, since there are better looking games out there

And it has attracted all the PK and griefers from UO. It will be so much fun.

I'm sorry, but there is no reason to believe this is any less vaporware then Darkfall. It's made by a company with no past and that doesn't seem to have a large number of staff either.

    I'll wait and see.

Still trying to figure out if the post made by a GM finishing in "remember, you are mortal", means the char dies, perma-death, or not...

If it does, althought it might be fun, it will also be the game killer.

Well they haven't been putting the game off for 10 years so they aren't starting with that over their heads. Which, unlike darkfall (imo) makes them at least worth keeping an eye on.

If you are going to have open PVP, I actually like the idea of perma death. Make the greifers think twice.

I think they said there wont be perma-death, but you will be able to fully loot someone once you kill them.

Yeah it appears to be everything I would want in an MMO.  However, I don't believe that the game even exists at this point.  I guess I'll be keeping an look out for Mortal Online, but I am not very optimistic about it ATM.

I gotta agree with this - go to the website http://www.mortalonline.com/

They got concept art, wallpaper, and this video but no screenshots yet?

I truly hope they pull it off because it has some nice features I'd like to see return to MMORPGs.

However, everytime I see something like this I remind myself that I got excited about Dark and Light and I learned a valuable life lesson from it.

the gamerelease is schedueled for summer2009... and as we all know our genre we can gently add 1more year to it.

and in 2010 i want my games to look at least as good as the trailer.

The idea behind the game looks good. But for me, this one looks more vaporware than Darkfall. But is a matter of opinion.

Anyway, I hope this turns in a released awesome game.

Well the idea that this is more vaporware than Darkfall isnt about opinion , it is a fact.  I guess when DF dissapoints this is the game everyone will flock to :)  Shadowbane>Darkfall>Mortal>TBA
