AoC Beta and your AMD Duel Core with Xp

The Beta will not run on a AMD Duel Core running Xp, so dont go pay 16$ to file planet it wont run. the AMD Duel Core with Xp will run when game is ready on May 20th. hope that means the 3 day head start to so the 17th I hope.

Incorrect. I have An AMD Dual Core Athlon X2 64 Bit 6000+. Windows XP Service pack 2.I also have a nvidia GeForce 8800 GT with 2 gigs of dual channel PC 6400 RAM and was pulling 64 FPS in AoC today.

I have a AMD X2 4200 with 2gigs of ram and a 7600gt and I also use Xp. I had no problem running it, and no it wasnt on its lowest settings either I left it at the settings it setup on install all I changed was shadows and particles and that was it.

AMD Duel core and ATI 19050 here, it works smoothly.

I am building a new rig, wonder if its worth going quad core?  Anyone knows?

The rest of the new rig will be normal, 8800 (512 RAM) 4GB/2GB RAM. Nothing biggie.

     you may need to update your bios/chipset/motherboard drivers. Get the dual core optimizer from amd website. Make sure to run windowsupdate.com
