I actually just started playing this incredible game earlier this week (Tuesday I believe). I signed up after reading the forums and checking around and seeing how things are now, and I saw alot of positive things and a comunity seemed really great. I gotta say, the game sure has come a long way since it's release. From what I had always read, it was quite the stinker. I definitely think they need to review again in it's current state. Maybe after the expansion they'll review it again.
There's just so much in this game that the other games don't have yet. I absolutely love how far you can see in the distance, it's just amazing and kind of scary when you see 5 Panzers coming over a hill a few miles away and there are only 5 of you in the area. You KNOW you're screwed and there's not much you can do about it... well until your air support comes flying in and rips them Panzers to shreds! (Yeah, I'm a Frenchie. Curse ze Germans )
I've played for a week now and I'm definitely keeping my subscripion. I've met some nice folk, the game world is the largest game world in any online game, the excitement of holding a base for 2+ hours while you're being pounded nonstop by German forces (we sure seem to be on the defensive alot... you Germans are aggressive!), the physics and ballistics. Great stuff. Oh, and one shot kills is nice, makes you REALLY want to be careful and not prance around like you're invincible.
If you like games in this fashion (FPS, Simulation, MMO, History), I really suggest you try out the 14 day trial. Go read up on the game and then download it. Read some of the stories and watch some of the movies some people have made, it just gets ya excited. Well, that's all I have!

This is great news. I think CRS should basically just have a standing free trial so that people can always give it a try. Although I would wait for one week after each patch. This way if a bug pops up from the patch, they bust butt and get it fixed before the guests arive.
So actually they should shut off the sign up a week before the release and then start it up a week after the release of the patch.
