An Objective Review of AoC PvP weekend

This guy is obviously a huge AoC fan he has positives and negatives to say about the game.   Instead of glossing over the truth with happy sunshine rays he really nails it on the head on issues that could make or break the game's success at launch.  

Anyway Happy reading to those looking for a closer to objective review than most of the threads here.

Well you certainly chosen a wrong review for what you call "objective" look.

That guy pretty much "glossed the game with happy sunshine rays".

Only issue he was having was bad performance which is exactly the opposite of what I was experiencing.

Another issue he was reffering too was class balance which is pretty much non existant in any MMORPGs.

Though he liked character editor like I did he compared it to Oblivion which I find blasphemous.

Oblivion faces all looked bloated like baloons, AoC has realistic facial lines.

 

All in all I am happy to see another positive review.

Hey it IS an objective review, eventhough it is positive. If u mean that an objective review has to be negative, that means that only fanbois like the game, which is wrong, considering there are a few people on this same forum that bashed the game before this weekend's beta, though after having played it, had a blast and wrote positive stuff on the game.

If that's not what u meant, then disregard my annoying post!

its actually fairly objective (i didn't claim it was perfectly objective, just far MORE so than any of the Hater and Fanboi threads here) and he doesnt gloss over anything including his disdain for one of the parts of the game majorly hyped which is the PvP.  The scenarios may be boring and exploitable but those same mechanics without the 'objectives' are the PvP in the border lands too.  

Load screens on death? that just sounds assbackwards to me and a serious downside that hopfully they'll get rid of by the time the game launches.

The graphics issues and crashes are nice to hear about everyone here claims oh their so fantastic they work on everything blah blah blah but thats not the truth. 

Instead of saying THis game is frigging awsome it pwns your mother omg its going to rock n destroy everything he atleast spoke calmly which is far more objective than your Own thread which deserves Fanboi Hyper Magnet.

Load screens on death? that just sounds assbackwards to me and a serious downside that hopfully they'll get rid of by the time the game launches.

However did u read the comments? most of his graphics issues are there cause he's running the game on high graphics and his PC can barely take it. This shows from the videos which are nowhere near as fluid as others posted.

Loading screen after death takes like 3-5 seconds to load so its not really a "loading screen".

I do agree they should have handled it differently, without annoying picture every time you die.

The loading screen is sort of a wtf. At the same time, you rez pretty fast so I just think of it in terms of time. Loading screen is bad, but the rez is pretty quick so it's not so bad.

We aren't talking 30 second load times, it's a few seconds.
