Can you download a trail of this game anywhere, I looked at it ages ago but the lack of WASD put me off - also it appeared you got 1 skill every 10-15 lvls which didnt appeal.

Theres no place online that you can get a free trial download. But you can buy a retail version of the game without any of the expansions for $1.99 which includes a free month of play (I'm pretty sure at least). You can also buy the newest pack of the game and its 4 expansions for I think $39.99.
WASD in this game wouldn't work well. Truthfully the best way to play this game is to go out and buy a PC controller.

 Not true. You get a new "Weapon Skill" every 50 or so skill levels (which is like 10-12 levels) depending on which job and weapon type you are using. You get new abilities, spells, stats, and traits every few levels but again this varies depending on which job you are using (and which spells you find necessary to buy).
