Preorder Confusion...

Hello,
Well yesterday i went in store to Bestbuy to get my preorder of the game,and ran into a bit of confusion.
I went in with the intention of preordering the collectors edition,called the store to confirm they could do it,and when i arrived all they had was normal preorder boxes...
So i tracked down the manager of the department,and he told me they have no SKU for the collectors edition and that what i need to do,is preorder the normal edition,then the day i come to pick the game up i'll have the option to pick up the CE on a first come,first serve basis.
He even went a step further and looked up every age of conan preorder in his computer at that location,and all of them were for the normal edition.
The problem is on the Bestbuy website,there is clearly a collectors edition preorder...so,should i go by what he said and risk the possibility of missing out on CE on a first come first serve basis?
Has anyone else been able to preorder the CE in a store,and not online? Thanks.
Also Gamestop has stopped taking preorders on the CE,and just removed it alltogether from their website yesterday.

I have the Ce preordered from gamestop. I would try there for it they have it listed and know all about it.
my local stores are almost always screwed over for collectors editions and i was surprised when the manager of one of the stores offered me the collectors edition of the BC. he said he had to pull quite a few strings just to get one into the store and it was a no fuss over the counter deal. nothing like at my other store (EB) that allows you to pre-order then on the release day they dont get any collectors editions and about 100 people get really angry and leave with their normal editions and the extra cash in their pocket. i try to stay away from pre-orders unless i can speak to the manager and discuss the chances of actually getting a collectors.
MMO wish list:
-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads
i really want the rhino, but after reading this Im not sure if i want to risk it through best buy. I guess the war mammoth will be just as good, but probably alot slower. i dont even know what to think of the "amazon bow" through amazon.com
anyone else concerned about going through best buy?
I live in Ireland and I have tried to Pre-order the CE from England but none will ship it out to me because it weighs more than 1KG. Today I called my local Gamestop and they said they will be getting in the normal AoC and the CE, and if I go into them in the morning with 5 euros to pre-order they will guarantee my CE.
One thing I thought wierd was that they didn't have the price in their system? I might just threaten to kill them all in the shop on the 23rd if I don't get it
I will still be there 30 mins before opening time to make sure though. Game nearly fucked me over with WoW TBC limited editions for me and my brother, I got the last 2... Just.
if i do preoder through best buy, i guess ill have to bring a snack and wait it out before they open. just wish the rhino was through another source.
Normally I would say yeh thats normal because Best Buy doesn't charge you the full price, just $10 and I dont think their preorder system acctually reserves you a copy at all. You just go in, get the preorder, use the key for the early activation/rhino and than use ur reciept to get the $10 credited to your purchase of the game.
The thing that would worry me is that I read somewhere there will be a limited amount of CEs. Though I highly doubt you will run into a problem with getting your hands on one. Me I just want the standard edition with the rhino pre-order so I'm set on Best Buy.
What do you get from pre-ordering from gogamer.com or walmart (as far as in game items or mounts)? I ask since it does not say on their website anywhere I could find, and perhaps somewhere here might know.
