Yo yo!
It looks like my dreamgame is on its way under the name of Darkfall. What I´m looking for is the skill-system that is used there and in UO and Oblivion to mention a few. I really like a deep crafting system that matters in the rest of the world (want to be able to craft items and gears that is equal or better then the ones you can find adventuring). And HOUSE. Loved the houses in UO. Being able to have my own private spot in the game and design and decore after my wish. As you maybe can guess I´ve allready played UO and want somthing more updated in the wait for Darkfall. Sci-fi or fantasy doesnt matter.

If you love UO so much why not carry on playing it?
Mortal Online is a lot like Darkfall; it won't be released until 2009 but for some reason I have a feeling that will be sooner than Darkfall
Well, it lacks in graphics and doesnt has any good adventure-feel that the newer games has (I like to kill something too sometimes but need to do something else sometimes).
Simple fact is if you keep waiting for games for years, u wont end up playing any game. Just find a game you like or may like and try it out, nobody can say which game u like unless you try them for yourself.
There is a huge list, just pick ones that may have interest for you.
Couldn´t find Mortal Online in the gamelist but I will keep my eye´s after it. Thanks for the tip
Well, Demz2, if you read the first post of mine you could see that I just wanted tips of games that includes a couple of things that I like in a game. True, nobody knows what games I like but I wanted to know if anyone knew any game out there exept of UO and Darkfall on its way that includes those. Isn´t that what the looking for game channel is for? No need for it otherwise right?
Seems like your looking for a sandbox game, the only ones I know besides UO are EVE, Runescape, and possibly Star Wars Galaxies. You might like Eternal Lands but it's a primitive game, look it up anyway though.
Oh and by the way here's the link to Mortal Online: www.mortalonline.com
Thx alot for the tips, m8! I might check them out since 2 of them are free. Oh, and Mortal Online looks VERY promising. I will for sure keep my eyes on it.
I think you would have enjoyed The Saga of Ryzom...great sandbox. Sadly the servers are shut down at the moment. Rough times
Looks quite interesting. Have a few questions about it though if you dont mind.
1: Does it have any crafting that matters?
2: Can I build or buy house?
3: I read it´s in the future on another planet but on the pics i saw axes and swords. Is it fantasy in the future on a different planet?

1. Yes most definitely. Here's a wikipedia description that I found does the system justice:
"Components for crafting can come from the corpses of killed animals or from hidden resource deposits scattered throughout Atys. Different ingredients provide varying benefits to different characteristics of the finished object. For example, when crafting a mace, using a certain kind of animal bone for the head may produce a hard-hitting but slow weapon, while using a particular wood may produce a weapon that is fast and gives a large bonus to parrying enemy attacks, but causes less damage. Further complicating things is the fact that any ingredient may occur in one of five classes and with a quality from 1 to 270, all of which affect the attributes of the final product.
Harvesting is a complex and sometimes team-oriented procedure. The player must first locate the desired materials using prospecting skills, as resources give no visible sign of their presence. If he does not have teammates to aid him, he may need to balance his work between extracting the resource and treating the extraction site to prevent it from collapsing prematurely or exploding. The site's location and the harvester's own skill levels both affect the maximum possible quality of the extracted resource"
Apart from this, there is also spell crafting. It lets you modify your spells by increasing and decreasing certain factors, essentially allowing you to create a unique spell.
2. There are player apartments and guild halls.
3. Ryzom is what is known as a science fiction fantasy game. Basically it contains features from both genres. It's set on an alien planet with a unique ecology, and races that resemble both genres too. Characters can use magic as well as fantasy and sci-fi weapons.
So to sum it up, the world is almost wholly sci-fi, but the fantasy elements are added in the form of magic and certain weapons.
Whoooah, I´m downloading it today
Thanks very much for the tip. Really sounds like my kind of game
One problem...
The company who owns/owned it went into liquidation. Apparently they've found a buyer though, so we're all hoping the servers come back online soon
