All of those useful dev journals and new videos are really convincing, so I'd have to go mabye the end of this year!

I am in no way a Darkfall hater, but honestly with the lack of a beta client or even an indication as to when some form of beta will begin, I highly doubt we will see this anytime this year or next. Perhaps if they get themselves into high gear and get beta rolling by 2009, we might see something in 2010.
Seeing it has been almost 7 years since I first learned about Darkfall...and 6 years since I first signed up for beta...I have no hope for this game. This is almost as bad as Duke Nukem Forever. Almost.

I voted 2010. My guess is that they will finally unveil DF outside the company in 2009. Much 'potential' will be seen, along with performance problems, design problems, serious bugs, and incomplete features. I am betting it will take another year before they decide it is as good as it is going to get w/o another complete overhaul. Game hits the shelves in 2010. 6 months later, the majority of former DF fans are looking for the next Holy Grail, while a small core of fanatics preach on about the next patch.
To the fanatics: I hope I am wrong, and will gladly eat a little crow if it means I DO get to play the Holy Grail version of DF. If it takes much longer though, I may not have the eye-hand coordination to be competitive. Getting old sucks.
I created the poll, and I forgot to post my opinion. My opinion is: never.
The results are interesting so far. Nearly half of the people voting think the game is vaporware. Many of the people I think of "Darkfall enthusiasts" have been brave enough to go on record by posting their opinion. None of the people I think of as fanbois have voted yet.
According to some statements about it being so advanced it can scale back and play on current day WoW computers, I estimate that this game will be released late 1998. Obviously everyone has over-looked the time traveling TARDIS built inside each pre-order box, however it will cloak itself as any current day MMO such as Ultima Online, Everquest, Star Wars Galaxies, and even World of Warcraft. This is a beyond state of the art feature ensuring that playing the game doesn't tear the fabric of time and space apart.
I can't believe so many people think it will be released this year. It hasn't even entered beta yet.
If you had half a brain, or bothered to read, you would know since the game is so complex they're going for a feature complete professionally tested beta, and that the "open beta" won't be a long six month process like it is in most other games, more of a stress test.
I vote 2008. That's what I hope for anyway, I have no reason to believe any specific date, nor does anyone unless they have inside information, so hope is all I really have.
If it comes out cool. If not, oh well maybe Twilight War or Mortal Online will release. Niether of these look to be any closer than DF though. Other than these three games, there isn't any half descent MMORPG in the works that I know of. If they don't release this year, oh well, still have Spore, Little Big Planet and maybe Battlefield 3, and GTA 4 if I ever get it to work.

Acording to the devs there AI system is better then real people at doing the beta testing... witch is why no beta is out yet...... I call BS

Hmm, don't recall any dev ever saying this. I remember them saying they had AI help testing along with pro beta testers. Who knows what they mean though, since that entire dev journal was very ambiguous.

I believe never. I voted 2013 so that I can say, "It is about f***ing time. I first heard about your game before my youngest entered kindergarten and graduates high school this year."
Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:
"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

Since when do 10 year olds graduate from high school? This game has been in development in Greece for 5 years, not even.

I'd guess late 2008 or mid-2009
In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
2013+

I'll be driving a flying car by the time this game surfaces
Haha, when I entered this thread I thought Darkfall announced an official release date.
Anyways, my estimate is 2011, but might be early 2012.

Vaporware. Plain and simple.

2012 day before the end of times.

I had to go with 2010, and that was being optimistic on my part.

I picked 2012, since I figure if this game releases, 5 minutes later the world will end.

I voted 2009. But late 2009 or early 2010. But it would be nice to see DF pop up in the game store in August : )

I am expecting a short open beta, maybe a couple months and then release sometime in 2008 or early 2009.
