Need guidance on saving screen shots...

...as in preschool type help.  All I know is it has something to do with "Print Screen"...but Im lost lol, please explain this to me with like...all the steps needed to saving, finding, altering quality (if at all?), basically anything.  This pertains to MMORPGs because I want to get used to utilizing this feature for WoW/Guild Wars/EQ2 (whichever I decide on) journals I want to make with my friends (thought it'd be cool).  Thanks for helping!

Print screen, then paste in some graphics program like photoshop or paint, save, then wallah

So, push Print Screen then Alt+Tab out or something to paste?  does that mean you can only snap one shot at a time?  Theres no standalone program (perhaps) that you can just save as you go?

yea, hit printscreen and in windows (if you don;t have photoshop or paint shop pro or any of those) open MS Paint even and select EDIT then PASTE. But most MMO's have a quick key setup in game to take screens, and it stores the in the game directory or in a sub folder. I have a collection of screens from every MMO I've played.
