    heya,

    thanks elvenangel,

man they are putting a lot  of the very often overlooked small details and features into this game.

that in the long run will make it even better.

GOTY hands down IMO. So many little things that add up to alot of cool features. Wow a concept to have guilds mean alot in a Faction vs Faction game. I love guild aspects in games of course but to have it mean something outside as he said an extra chat channel makes it perfect IMO.

I just hope Small guides , 12-18 players will be able to play and experience the game as well as large guilds.

I found this one particularly funny:

"Q: As I often play with a very small group of people (three to eight), will smaller guilds be supported?

A: Absolutely! As long as you have the minimum number of members (six), you’ll be able to make use of all of the features of the Living Guilds system."

That's the best "No" I've seen in years

Lol where is the no, if you have a guild of 6 or more you can use all the guild features. I know what you re trying to get at but in reality yes you can take advantage of all the features.

Yes i saw this also ,  and its sad. Read it, u can make use of all features...

Thsi does not say or deny that larger guilds will be able access these systems 20 times faster than small ones and use them 20 times more frequently giving them a significant advantage over smaller guilds.

IE they stated this in a way to allows my statement to be true, yet safe face.

So what you say big guilds should ....

Should they ? I personally think forcing people into big guilds is bs. WoW does that and most people freakign hate the shit out of it. If anythign mythic mantra has been allow everyone to experience and compeat... Hate to see them drop the ball to encourage UBER guilds. Instead of makign a system that effectively uses large or small guilds.

Not saying its one way or the other , simply my fears.

You guys are missing the point I think ^^

He asks can small groups like groups from 3-8 people have their own guild and use all the features?

Answer: Yes they can if you have 6 people.

    ...

So at best the answer is no from 3-5 and yes from 6-8 :)

GTA4 isn't all that the media is making it out to be.  Spore looks great, however GOTY most likely will be MGS4.

Hmm perhaps. I'm just hoping it's Spore since that fits my personal gaming preference and if it makes GoTY that means it's *hopefully* a great game ^^

    I really hope it's a great game, I'm starving here :(

they didn't say it in the video but its been said in other articles recently they're working  on a balancing system according to guild size so power guilds can't just run over the system.  Basically if your familiar with EQ2's system Big guilds have to 'earn more' since there are 'more of them'.   Its not a perfect 50/50 balancing system but its enough so small guilds rank up competivily.  I always found easier to rank up a guild of 10 to 20 people than a guild of 50 to 100.

it is jsut a simple equation really.

an example being. guilds need X amount of XP per level of  guild member to raise rank. Say X is 10. So adding a lvl 1 guild member raises your XP total by 10 where a lvl 40 raises it by 400. Also prorate the amount. If you are 50% into your current rank then the lvl 40 would only increase it by 200 instead of 400, etc.

If they wanted to get fancy they could, but it would be a very simple equation to have a sliding scale for guild ranks and not flat amount like player levels.
