Am I missing out?

First of all I would like to thank all those out there in this great community for helping me through my first levels. With that said, I downloaded AO with the SL expansion over a week ago and absolutely love the game. I have created two characters (a Crat and a MA) and taking the advise of those in this forum and in-game, both have remained exclusively in the SL. So my question is: Am I missing a good part of this game by not going to the surface and are there any low level characters to group with up there?

Depends on you, I play 100% on RK because you can fly with a Yalmaha and fight in Tower Battles (with the Booster Pack Notum Wars). Play in SL if you want, but Alien Invasion will make Rubi-ka the best option! (Y´know only Aliens can attack on RK, and only in RK ya can build towns, AI will be 100% RK)

(By The Way, if you leave AO, you will return, that happens to 90% of the players, i left AO for 5 months cuz i wanted to try somethin´different, but now im playing AO again , its the best mmorpg ive played, so try not to leave  cuz youll return!)

Groups of newbies? it depends: in which server do you play Atlantean or Rimor? Are you OT, Clammer or Neautral?What lvl are you?

I play on Altantean because I've herd that's where the majority of players are. Currently my MA is level 17 and my Crat is 15. I am working diligently on my Crat though, because I have herd that this is a rewarding profession at higher levels. My faction was set to neutral for starting out in Jobe. I don't really want to change it until I understand more about the factions and what they have to offer. Since my last post I have ventured to the neutral town of Borealis. I attempted to take on a mission there but after spending 30 minutes attempting to walk to the destination I gave up and headed back to the SL where the items sell for good credits anyway. Oh and yes, I have heard of vehicles since then, but where can I purchase one?

Well, you should go to a subway, every faction has its own subway in their starting cities (Rome etc...) There youll find people lvl 5-24.

Bout the Yalmahas, ehm...................youll need Airbone Vehicle points and mils of credits ( i think the cheapest Yalm costs 4.5 mil) You can buy Yalms in Advanced Shops
