Still unsure whether to go with this or AoC, but I'm going to try both. Not really desperate for anything at the moment, Guild Wars is a good time waster... what's great about GWs is that it is sort of an "in-betweener" when I'm waiting for something else, and since there's no monthly fee it just fits wonderfully. To be honest I don't think AoC or WAR will be any good, so by then I'll probably just stick with Xbox Live, TF2, Call of Duty, Guild Wars, and the works.
Well honestly i was kinda 60% towards war and 40% towards AoC. It was going to be all depending on reviews after it launched. But a few things swayed my decisions fully towards WAR, and now ill play it when it launches. Heres the reasons:
1. The wonderful move AoC developers did by doing a "pay for a chance at beta" via fileplanet FOLLOWED by them making excuses on these very boards rose red flags everywhere with me, especially since alot of people point out the nice fact that it was just like what the did with anachy online. So yeah, I won't be playing that now. If anything i might be trying it out after i read A LOT of reviews, but.. i doubt it...
2. Probably the biggest contributor to me fully going WAR is becuase the confidence that the devs have in every vid i have watched about the game. Their confidence is real, and you can tell.
3. WAR devs are listening to beta testers like their life depended on it. And that is something you have to respect. It is a smart move on their part, where many devs from other companies would not listen to any suggestions.
just my two cents.

I'm waiting on WAR by ... taking pain killers now that my back is out again Yay! Pain Killers for the win...oh and um..playing my Wii..(doesn't care what anyone says its fun).
I am on pain killers right now and wow, they really work.
Currenly working on my own projects and catching up on reading and some learning. Also spending more time socializing.

Here here! Like what the WAR devs recently stated in an interview!
"Another important thing to remember," Josh said, "is that part of making a game is responding to your customer base and the only way that you can understand what your customers think about what you are doing is to go out and talk to them, shake their hands, show them what you're doing and that you're not just operating in a cave working on something that you don't intend to show them until after you've got their money.
I love the devs at WAR so much for keeping their fans in the loop on everything, and responding to all our concerns promtly and just letting us know they care about what we think. WAR is going to be extremely good.
Ah and I'm playing LOTRO casually since I've completed everything PvE and there isn't anything much else to do but play an alt atm. ....and I'm about to start reading the Malus Darkblade series for Warhammer and possibly others to get deep into the lore before playing!

This only really starting happening since november in my opinion and that's *after* they pretty much realized they had a lemon on their hand if they wouldve released back then.
Listening out of necessity is not quite as noble as you make it sound imo
I actually went back to WoW for a couple of months.
The magic's really gone out of it though - add a tired formula to the fact that the devs are trying to be all things to all people and failing everyone, and I'm even more certain now that WoW is ripe for a mass exodus if a decent alternative ever manages to come out and not have a horrible launch or be released half-done.
So right now I'm actually playing UT3.. shame nobody's made a UT2K4-style RPG invasion mod for it but I'm sure in time it will come
Well I just got my toon to 20 in Guild Wars. Took less time than I thought it would. Maybe I'll go back to an MMO and round people up and bring them to WAR when it comes out haha. Or maybe GTA 4...
Yeah, The Witcher is really really cool. Homework and concerts and stuff like that keep me entertained enough as to not really notice that WAR's still a looooong way, but hey, I can do the waiting!
Their is a game coming out in June called "Lego Indiana Jones" ( check it out on GameSpot ) It looks like a lot of fun, and kind of reminds me of Zelda. that could keep me going untill Warhammer. but I'm also thinking of going back to D&D online ( my best ).
But today my head is pounding from backing off on coffee, I just love my coffee. Nothing like being juiced up and playing games. I'm not too sure how it would be playing drunk as I'm in AA for 17 years and can't drink. however a beer would be nice right now !!!
Try some of the classic`s. I just reinstalled Planescape Torment. At first i had some trouble adjusting to the outdated graphic but as soon i started reading the dialogue i was sold once again. The game is simply a piece of art. Compareable to very good literature imo.
How good is rock band? I've been thinking of getting it for my Wii (although it is sadly lacking the online features).
Not sure how it is going to play on the wii. But it is a very fun party game. I don't play non stop like I do with other games. But I have fun when I play.
I’ve been playing GTA IV for a few days now. And I am completely hooked at this point. I am moving this to my top 5 favorite games of all time list. It may actually be number one, but I need to give it the longevity test first. I haven’t ever tried multiplayer yet.
They have really nailed combining a linear story driver game with a freeform sandbox game.
My girl friend who has never liked a violent game in her life now keeps taking the controller from me just so she can run over pedestrians. I may have to get another xbox.

If only SW:TOR could be this epic...

I'm doing theory crafting in Guild Wars and playing it from time to time too...
As of now, GTA IV and loving it.

Cheers jmd10222, dl:ing the demo atm

I guess if you actually manage to get a Death Metal band to write a song about your game its worth a look at. I'll go download a demo if there is one.

I would play planetside again but I would probably get bored in about a week. BFRs ruined the damn game.
I did pick up GTA 4 last night (first gta I ever played) so I'm hoping it will be fun. I'm looking forward to the cops and robbers multiplayer.
