Becoming a jedi

in Star Wars Galaxies

Hello, is the process the same for becoming a jedi as in mastering everything, or did they change it so it is sumwat easier. If so wat do u have to do now to become a jedi. Thank you image

      Hello Dark_Man_X,

     I advise you to NOT play SWG with the intent of becoming a Jedi. You are better off buying and playing Knights of the Old Republic, or Jedi Outcast. Or even Jedi Powerbattles.

     SWG orginally was made with the intent for players to experience what it is like to live in the Star Wars universe, experiencing the game as one of the roughly 30+ professions OTHER than Jedi. Jedi was suppose to just be an extra add on. I blame LucasArts for horribly near-falsely advertising SWG as another Jedi Outcast. The fact is SWG is a fun game if you do NOT play it with the intent to become a Jedi. Have fun playing it while experiencing the tons of other professions.

    I have no intent of jus playin the game jus to become a jedi. I played it before and was a master rifleman and in wilderness ( scout i guess) and medic....but was jus wonderin if they changed around the process of becoming a jedi. Was thinking about rejoining before light speed and if it was worth to resubscrice to it. Can u please can u opinion on the game and everythin in it. Like the major changes that have happened in it. 

    Also in light speed a few of my friends wanted to eventually get like a  cruiser and just fly around space, is that going to be possilbe??? or is LS jus about having a x-wing and tie fighter and empire vs rebel deal. any info here will help, thank you image

    i maket in a half year 26 profs and than i had a jedi was a surprise :) and playing jedi is very fun.

    So you never liked Dark Forces? That was one of the best Star Wars games ever, and you never played a jedi. I guess being a jedi is fun because you can pwn everyone else because you are better than them. I like beating people on a level field, or if its stacked against me. Its much more fun.

    At the beginning, there will be no capital ships. You and your friends could get some YT-1300s (Millenium Falcons) and use those. You can have up to 10 on each one, and you can have a pilot and 2 gunners. And they can be used by Imperials, Rebels, and Neutrals.

    That's why they have something called the Jedi Trials coming in Publish 10. You're welcome.

    SWG is the same boring, lifeless game it was at launch.  Still tons and tons of space with nothing filling the voids.  I reactivated last month and my character was still on Bria from launch.  I see maybe a few people here or there...that's about it.  IMO you should save your money for something better to come out. 

    As far as you fanboys who are about to start flaming me, I give you a stiff middle finger and tell you to shove it.  IMO the game blows, in your opinion, you like it.  Nuff said. image

    you can become a jedi but u gotta WORK FOR IT, u cant have every player being a jedi or that would put no fun into the game

    Yeh currently, you do professions, by mastering them all at the moment, till end of august when you go into the Jedi Trials....

    Supposedly longer, but easier.

    Well I mastered Jedi, it took me 25 profssions and by the time i had complete the task i was so board that i soon quit and e-bayed my jedi.

    you can still unlock you jedi by completeing you masteries but you wont be able to create you jedi character anymore untill the patch.

    Ive started playing again, and ive found that the game is much more fun just going to all the places and killing stuff, and not grinding professions.

    Also jedi is pretty boring i must say. Although now it looks like there is more reward for filling blocks because you actauly get something that you wanted.

    Bottom line, Jedi is cool, but if you want to have fun forget about it.

    With the jedi unlock revamp, it might be more fun to get jedi, but for me i just plan to get some force sencitive skills and get ready for lightspeed.
