So i'm trying to start the game normally with highest res, it doesn't work everything turns black and NO, I cannot hear anything or either see any Funcom thingys or whatever..... So I looked at the forums some people had fixed their problem by just setting everything to the lowest so I did the same thing and tried to set resulotion to the lowest (1024x768) and window mode DOESN*T EVEN START THE GAME?
Could this be because of old drivers? Btw I got a really bad proccessor (amd2,4ghz) IT REALLY SUX but this shouldt be the problem though since I got 4gb ram 3870 series gpx card.... I have newly re-installed the whole computer ( couldn't find a good word for it ) HOWEVER I just wish there is someone with the same problem who can help me.... I fucking paid for this...
Thanks going away now for a few hours cya...

Try to scan and repair down load files also update your drivers. once I did both I log in just fine.
Hmm ok... trying with simple config - verify and repair right now ....
you didn't switch it to DX10 settings did you? Go into the folder where your beta is and open up the simpleconfig file. Make sure your set to directx 9 in the graphics tab.
If that doesn't work update your graphics driver to the most recent from the website.
It was doing the same thing for me. The way I fixed it was to run the ageofconan.exe instead of the patcher. This will allow the game to start and you can set it to full screen and max res if you want. It seems to be a problem with the patcher.
Right now I'm using XP home edition and I recently installed drivers for my video card but maybe I got wrong or something.... would appreciate if anyone would give a link or something...
yeah if your on XP it wont even give you the option to pick DX10

Try the way I mentioned in the post above and let me know if that works for you. That should fix the problem for you. I don't think it has anything to do with your drivers.
Yeah It's working now... I discovered it takes like 5 minutes to start the game..... and btw while im in the game its kinda laggy ... could this be because of my proccessor?
I have an AMD Athlon 300+ wich runs at 2,6 I think... more or less, and games runs fine. and only with 2 gigs of ram. So, dont think is your processor, but maybe.
