I quit today - grind kills a game
went on my rogue and gave my gastra and manticore to a person that has been kind to me since beta
then on my other char and had like 20 people do a "last person standing" for full bronze and a falchion
but a level 51 came and owned them all..
so we did it again
lol
gave away all my stuff, still have a month and half on my account

No dude thats cool of you to help out others who are friends and to share your account that is not in use much anymore. You won't find many honest and generous people like that online. This game is a piece of shit.
I'm not gonna write some mini review, flame me if u want.
That's my opinion. Just sharing it with the community.
However I know that these people posting below me will be saying, fuck you this is the greatest thing, graphics are amazing blah blah blah.
Well here's the main points about this game.
Very little content at lower level...
Everyone is twinked, and if you're not, don't expect to kill anything because people in dungeons will jsut kill it all with their 'ub3r twink' characters dealing 20x more damage than you'd ever hope to.
Not to mention, if you're not a twink and don't have a insanely high level character, then you're most likely an eBayer. For more info, just type lineage on egay.com and look for stuff over $1,000USD. You'll notice there's more than 30 bids on most items over that price.
Oh and don't forget the botters, (The fucktard community calls them Chinese Farmers) but actrually, it's just botters even though the original bot program "LinRich" or something like that was created by this guy in Hong Kong (I live there and saw him in a cyber cafe, he is UGLY), and 50% of L2's community, ARE botters. So if you wanna be a scapegoat which I'm being right now, 50% of the community are UGLY.
So if you wanna be with the UGLY crowd, play this game.
The community is filled with fuck heads and low lives.
That's pretty much the default characteristics everyone in this community has.
Picture this, I made a girl character and called this guy a sweetie, before he logged off, he said he loved me.
Sure you'll say wow, these weapon skills are soooo cool, so many people play this game.
But then again, who in that game has played more than 3 mmorpgs? (Diablo II is not an MMO.)
Nuff said, flame it up. Or just keep it simple and play with my poll.
PS. I never got pked in this game, well I did once, but didn't really care, I just found this game boring.

Glad you saw the problems now and bailed rather than spent another couple monthly fees hoping C2 will make it better.
Who knows....if EBay goes out of business and China goes off to war, Lineage 2 may not be so bad.

bah well..i just couldn't stand the grind anymore
and it's true, it's a high - end game, which means you have to be a high level to have much fun in it..
castle sieges, etc.

That's nothing! During beta I had characters named Nuisance and Annoiannce, I was one of those people who would make newbie mages, level them to 4, and run around windstriking other lowbies. My karma was maxed on several chars on several servers (999,999) I made a lot of friends, and tons of enemies, I had an awesome reputation being that witty, openly gay PKer at the Elf city.. that experience was definetely worth $40 and a monthly fee. The PvP, the insults, the arguments, the people who can't stand you and track you down trying to kill you ( all so you can respawn somewhere else and kill more people without having lost anything! ), I would totally be playing Lineage 2 for that.
*ranting*
But alas, the low level game is dead just like in Dark Age of Camelot. If I went out and got L2 right now, from what I hear there wouldn't be lowbies all over the starting zones killing keltirs anymore. No newly made characters with incredibly dumb Legolas names or names like bob57875214543 to slaughter and laugh at. It's no fun without that. I don't wanna grind so I can participate in expensive, organized, restricted PvP. I want to jump straight into all the combat and social action of rampant lowbie PKing.

Seriously I can't believe anyone is playing this game still. Guess the obsessive grinders will eventually burn themselves out, then all that'll be left is the insane asians farming money to sell back and forth to each other.
So I went and bought the game, started a new character, No good gear at all and level 2, played for 15 mins...I'M AN EBAYER...OMG!

BAHH o well, i was lookin forward to get the game, but....SOOO many bad reveiws, not even funny, so i am gonna get CoH instead.....this game did look fun, but so many people say it sux and so many people quittin, and lots of cool people in CoH, and it just looks funner now, so ...good by Lineage2

While they do not have the unfortunate dislike of having botters, exploits, griefers, and hackers the game does get sorta boring fast. Many people stop playing after the late teens (as in level 15-19 level)
My wife still plays it...but I couldnt get myself to pay another month.
Don't get me wrong..it's fun as hell for the first two weeks or so...but then its just blah

Back in closed beta the adena farm workers and the bots were unheard of. If you did come across one it would be very rare. The community was much nicer also. They (NCSoft) started to loose me when they picked their official forum moderators based on the person's personal involvement in the game rather than their experience in customer relations, forum etiquette, etc. So basically, when the game went open beta you had a bunch of forum moderators where 3 of them were in game griefers and made no effort to hide the fact. Their forum names and their game name was the same. In every other mmorpg that is a no no.
Then around the 2nd week of open beta all hell broke loose with chinese adena farmers and bots. First I noticed them hanging out in Dwarvian mines as Dark Elves...then when other servers opened many of us would go to a new server but they would follow and in 4 days time they would be back to level 25+ with uber kill in the mines again.
Sad thing is, the MODs stated how they will probably ban the chinese ips since it was only fair as North Americans' ips are banned in Korea for their Lineage ][. But alas that never happened. We can't go to KOrea's servers but Chinese can come to ours. Don't make any sense.
Also, it almost seems as if NCSoft is supporting the chinese adena farmers as their lack of activity against them is very apparent. There's something going on at NCsoft that I dont wanna touch with a 10 foot pole and I dont wanna know.
But one thing I know for sure is this:
They have Dhevrin strung up on a collar like a slave (Dhevrin is the NA forum DEV/MOD and PR guy). The NCSoft guys in Korea is using him like a 2nd rate whore and he has no idea. I feel more sorry for him than I am angry toward him.
The whole situation is just messed up and sad. It could have been a good game but the DEVs had to screw everything up ...from the panty/ass shots (which is stupid) to the lack of customizations to the severe lack of security and easy manipulation of their code. Its just one big mess lol

I assume I would've considered Lineage 2 a pretty funky game before I started playing EVE, but I have to say that EVE really opened my eyes - especially when it comes to inane downtimes and even more especially to level grinds.
I don't think there's a game out there offering more flexibility than EVE, as opposed to forcing you to spend insane amounts of time just grinding in order to even get into the offered content and to know if you like it or not.
Really, L2 has quite started to smell like a pretty cheap cash drain to me (even though I admit I do like the graphs).
They probably aren't banning the chinese adena farmers anymore because they figured that they take up more than 50% of the population and their income of the subscriptions
