BEAUTIFUL 30min WoW Mage video

The video is similar to juinorX's videos (showing various features, combat, travel, etc.) except this one is of a Mage in the higher levels (therefore, more entertaining).

Awesome animations, combat and artistic style are showcased! image

    That actually was one of the better in-depth videos I've seen so far... But I can't help but grumble over the fact that mages have teleportation to any city they want. That just seems... wrong. Hmmm... Plus the combat only appears so-so. Looks infinately better than SWG combat, true... Maybe it's just different when you're playing it than when you're just watching. However, I can say that the world is beautiful. Actually seems... quite unique. And the lag in cities seems better than most other things, but there still was some... Maybe that's his computer, or it was done at high-server load times.

    Overall though, it was a good video because it showed many different aspects about the game, not just one specific viewpoint about one specific topic.

    Just out of curiousity Vakktn, how is that pronounced? I keep reading it like 'Vatican', but I highly doubt you're the pope. Especially with that ninja stuff.

    Haha yeah it looks funny doesnt it? Its messed up when I signed up I somehow for got the E it was supposed to be "Vakkten". Vakkten Stormur was the name of my jedi in SWG Eran Piemea was my main (not relevent but just throwing it out there). So when I signed up I forgot the E and I cant change it =( Oh well *shrugs*

    Oh btw Stormur Vakten (I spelled it Vakkten cuz vakten was taken haha) means "Storm Lord" so reversed it ment "Lord Storm" which I thought was fitting for a jedi =P

    ahhh... i see now. makes MUCH more sense. And, actually, is kinda cool. hehe.

    But I am kinda jealous of you with your Jedi character. But not too jealous due to the fact that the engine still sucks. But hey, if you're not playing and have no intention of playing anymore, apparently jedi characters now sell for a thousand bucks on ebay. Since new ones have been locked and all. Just something to think about...

    Haha already sold it for $1,000 =D. Upgraded my computer AMD 2600+ 1GB pc3200 RAM, Geforce 6800 Vid card, and a 19 in LCD (that freaking busted piece of shit gonna bring it back and get a CRT instead more reliable haha).

    So many people wanted my jedi it was insane. Even my enemies who I fought wanted it hahaha. Silly imperials =P I unlocked it in december before the devs gave out holiday holos to everyone >_< worst thing the devs could of done cuz ever since then the game REALLY REALLY tanked. All my favorite Armorsmiths/chefs/weaponsmiths... etc... all quit to follow the path to jedi bullshit and it just became a big grind fest for everyone!  I got lucky cuz I only needed to do two holocron professions Fencer and Carbineer (mastered 8 before I started holo grind) and unlocked on Image Designer. Didnt have to do any crafting professions THANK GOD! ROFL. Played the jedi for about a month went thru 2-3 Lightsabers and 4 sets of composite got to 4/4/4/4 in initiate with 600k xp in padawan tree and said SCREW IT and quit the game in feb/march. I had a year subscription so it was still going so after I quit L2 (sold that account also haha 200 bucks for a lvl 50 Spellhowler with NO GEAR) I went and sold my jedi seeing how the new changes to jedi were comming.

    People will suck the popes....well...staff... to get a jedi account. Just wish the devs would listen.... I hear now that they STILL havent revamped the combat system and they PUSHED it back till after JTL comes out.... SO GHEY... stupid SoE.

    OMG... Best 30 minutes of my life... Well... Best 'sustained' 30 minutes of my life. ;)

    When it changed to the nelf city my jaw just dropped, and it was another 5 minutes before I felt the drool dripping down.

    Showed the video to someone not at all interested in video games, and even she thought that the city looked amazing.

    Hopefuly my thirst for this game will soon be quenched... Hopefuly...

    That was a really good movie, It looks really fun when your a high level, getting to travel all across WoW. I hope more people will keep making these kinds of movies...its something to do while waiting for the open beta!!!!

    Excellent movie, great find Lugnard! I love all the locations that are shown off to present how varied the WoW world is.

    This is the best movie I've seen so far. Now i know a few things I didn't know before, like the npc's don't talk or do they? And the fighting is different than what I imagined. But overall, World of Warcraft KICK ASS!!!! Way better than that other game, humm... what's it called again...everboring 2 I think!::::36::

    I have show that video to about fifteen people now and it is amazing to see the reactions of people who don't play games and how interested they soon become - iv gotten similar reactions to the EQ2 video but i think the realism can turn away some people - iv heard the opinion that EQ2 looks to hard core

    The game simply looks amazing, VERY nice video.  Felt like I was playing the game lol. It made me fall in love with WoW even more.  Only thing I didn't like was the mage being able to teleport anywhere its discovered, kinda uber eh? The gyphon ride was incredible tho...GOD i can't wait to play this game!

    I hope this posts... I liked it alot. It covered most of the World of Warcraft and we saw that Gnomes aren't wimps. ::::02:: Geat find Thanks! ::::28::

    I had to shut it off 13 minutes through. It didn't show anything new compared to what I have seen or heard about. The spells looked awesome and the quality was very good. I just thought it was lacking anything fun. I mean, the first few minutes the Gnome fought maybe 3 things. I know that it showed a lot of things like trade skills and other things, but I have seen it all before for the most part.

    I guess I am a bigger fan of juniorX's vids because they show more of what I will be doing primarily in WoW. That would be questing and fighting more often than working on Tradeskills. If I missed something in the last half of the video, please tell me so that I can sit down and watch the rest of it.

    Is it taking an incredibly long time to download this movie for anyone else? its gonna talk 3 times as long to download it as to watch it, Im getting 30kb/sec download, should be 8-10 times that image

    I got 278 KB/s. Do you have a firewall set up on your computer? Mine used to interfere with downloads. Making them slower than usual or closing them down completely. Or it could just be the server that it is being downloaded from. the server makes all the difference usually. But if it doesn't have mirrors, your just plain stuck at what you have now.

    Nope, no active firewalls and I dont think theres any mirrors. And Im on cable so I do usually get 200-300 kb/s, so it has to be the server. image

    Well the 2nd half of the movie is better than the first, so you shut it off way too early :)
