It's only $49.99 usd...WTF people!
Some of you are debating this thing as if were your childs education. Get over it people! It's 50 bucks and a monthly sub of 14.99....That's a tank of gasoline, not a morgage payment. I spend $60 on lunch every day. Live a little and I doubt you will burn through your life savings

Well if you pre-paid for your lunch to get it ahead of everyone else in the restaurant, only to find out you had to pay 5 bucks more in order to get it, only to find out you're only allowed 1/4th of it before everyone else receives their lunch too, you'd be pissed!
Grrr.
Not everyone has money to throw away. Especially If it sucked and they know they are going to have to blow another 50 bucks on another potentially good game. Then you start running into the hundreds of dollars in games minus sub fees ...not to mention some people might spend money elsewhere. 50 bucks definately isnt chump change for me unless that would be the only game I bought this year.
And found that your lunch slipped off the plate just as you were about to take a bite
Naw...I wouldn't bet on that. $60 a day for lunch is a hell of a lot. I don't think there's too much in the world that would really bother the guy.
Same price as wow release isn't it?
Correct, exactly the same as WoW
I'm not paying for a game that's run by developers that tell us NOTHING, hey guys how is crafting in the game? Oh thats right no one knows. Hows the sieging? Oh don't worry, they are testing it right now - plenty of time to get it ready for release in what, 2 weeks? How are the mounts? Is the game full of load zones after level 20? Do we really know anything?
49,99
Yes - thats nothing. Send it to me then
Paypal account inoming. Still in beta- few bugs but will be fixed before launch.
This is about the simple principle of custimors paying for finished and working product. AOC is not.
Im not breaking any NDA now - but last 4 patches have only had fixes for lvls 1-13. Last one last night. Seriously ... You think the game is ready ? I was trying to play a cutsene just now and the frose so I had to restart the PC. And ... Tried it in another pc and same happened.
Things that worked before last patch dont work now - for example I found a climbing spot that you simply HAVE to climb to finish the Torture storyline. And you know what. Instead of climbing spot it showed up as dead corpse target.... That was working 2 days ago....
This really is a joke.
If you spend $60 on lunch every day I would say you probably need to lose weight or cut down on caviar.
I know this might come as a shock but it is about principle, little subscriptions for garbage product adds up. They encourage next product to be the exact same crap because the first one made $$$. The only way a customer can show its position is by NOT shelling money in advance. Alterantivelly if product is not satisfactory the only option is to stop paying.
In short, if I shell out $60 to ever Tom, Dick and Harry who has an overhyped product I will be left with no money at all, even if I have millions.
Yes, I might (and that is a big might after VG, TR, POTBS etc.) give money in advance if the product looks promising - Conan does not, from technical problems to gameplay.
All in all, wait and see before buying what is for now an overhyped and underperforming product.
Agree with the OP.it's $50 peeps.
if you cannot take a $50 gamble on your hobby..get a [new] job!
what makes me wonder is why all the games are more expensive in europe then in the us.. i have to pay 77$ for the game(not the collectors edition) and 23$ monthly fee..
i mean common we are not richer then the us ppl
Seen the value of the usd lately? ... i beg to differ

dude...
if you can't spend what amounts to a pair of cheap sneakers on a game than you should be working...not playing games. But really man, it's just 50 bucks and in this day and age almost everyone can afford that. Come on man...you aren't buying a new car. This is not a life and death decision.
get the fu*k over it!
Totally agree. And as my experience taught me: US servers are often way faster and more stable than EU servers, even if you play from Europe…
This is why I will buy US version.
$60 for lunch.....wtf do you eat
@ Vallador
i would buy the us version as well but i heared u cant play on the us servers if u are from europe..
but im not realy well informed about that all so if there is someone knowin more i would appreciate it if u clarify this
What kind of car are you driving that it only costs you $65 a month for a tank of gasoline?
If you will buy US version, you will be allowed to play only on US servers (launching May 20.)
If you will buy EU version you will be allowed to play only on EU servers (launching May 23).
It does not matter where you play from: your game version will decide what kind of servers you can play on.
Dude, if you are paying $65 a month for a pair of cheap sneakers, you might want to check out the discount store. I bought a pair for $20 on sale at Target about a year ago, and they're still in great shape.

thats good to know..thx man
He has lunch at a strip club, and $60 isn't all for food and drink.....

You are obviously in a different tax bracket ...and you damn well know it. Either that or you live at your parents house , which I doubt is the case.
The money is really not the point. Let's face it if you can afford to buy a pc that can run this game $50 is not going to break you. The point is are you getting what you paid for. I'm sure everyone at some point has bought something from a store or off of a tv commercial or an online retailer and been disappointed with it. Well in that situation you can almost always get your money back if you're not happy with it. You can't do that here. They know that and take advantage of it.
60 bucks a day on lunch! Whaddya eat half a barrel of crude oil
Seriously he has a point tho buy it and try it out for even just the free month.
Well one thing we know about the game is that it has a MATURE rating, so if you are an adult and cannot afford $50, you better find a new job.
You folks under this age know this game has a Mature Rating right? But yeah, I know, thats not going to stop the young ones (16 years of age and below) from getting their hands on this game.
anyways... (17 years old was that unknown factor for me), but
Even if you are a Part Time College student, got a job at your local coffee shop and make $7.00 dollars a hour, you should be able to afford this at no problem (unless you only work 7 hours a week).
Being 18 years old and I still live with my parents is still no excuse, your an adult now.
When I was 18 I was working with my father as a Ramp Agent at Ft. Lauderdale Exec Airport , I made good money and that was in the late 80s, early 90s for me. My starting pay if I remember was $12.00 hour as a full time summer job.
Conclusion: $50.00 for a hobby is well worth it, if you like it.
Money should'nt be a factor at our age. (this is my personal opinion of course).
