A bit bored but curious about what type of game goals people are going to have in the game. So throwing up a poll about it.

Yes I want to do it all.
Main goal is pvp, have to do a lil of all of the others also, but mainly PvP. But as my system atm is very low end, I wont be able to do any pvp until i get a new rig.
Thats the only big minus I know so far about the game, taking such a dang good rig to run.

You don't have my goal listed. That goal is to have "FUN".
You really need a poll with a least a 'Choose 2' to be accurate but Teala summed it up reasonably well. Have fun. enjoy thyself without endangering others (I don't count PvP or pixel genocide as endangerment).
I'm having immense amounts of fun find stuff in this game as lmited in scope (lvl 13 cap) as it is. The first time I climbed up the lighthouse ( I think it was the lighthouse) and saw the view I breathed a happy sigh and said ' I'm home. Let's have some rat-in-a-cage to celebrate!'
The game is a thought provoking change from the standard MMO mold (which I have played and liked in diferent forms for many years). Some people weaned on WoW or WoW clones might not be able to make the transition immediately (or at all) but for the rest of us...we've got a new place to hang up our gear.

PvP is the main focus as for everyone else it seems, secondary tho i am going for crafting.

Yhea sorry, did not put in the have fun part in the poll as I figured that nobody would play the game if they are not having fun, so thought it was redundant to have it as a poll option. And still stand for that, I hope no sad player is playing just to hate, its all about the fun, why would you play if not?

Anyone have an info on when the closed beta will have the NDA lifted? I take it the closed beta has all levels open and all crafting and such.

see earlier response about having fun as a poll option as redundant.
city building, seems as a very fun part to work as a team to build your city. hopefully there will be added to build own fortifications in pvp areas also.
Well, I want to do it all, but for the sake of the poll I chose PvP, since that's my favorite.
When I think more about it, I think guild work is going to be my main goal for the thing.
We will just have to see how the events unfold, there is just so many players on each server, so the guild sizes will prolly balance out. I am thinking 2-3 really big guilds who constanly owns a keep, then perhaps 5-10 guilds who are big and focusing on the rest of the battlekeeps. I think theese are the ones who going to be hiring mercs the most. And ofcourse smaller guilds who have towers to defend.

The main goal is pvp, if you don't want to pvp you got the wrong game.
Like everyone else, I just want to have enjoy myself & can't wait for it to go live.
To be honest I haven't played PVP that much in other games, but I am looking forward to giving it a try in AoC. Hopefully the 'Role Play PVP Experience' won't be marred by constant ganking, but it could be fun.
