Heres the backstory:

I beta tested. Open beta tested. Pre-release. Release.

Beta + Pre = Super Fun

Release = Was lacking something, played for a month, ran out of steam, did other stuff.

Note: I was so into this game, I even got the collector edition, my girl even wore the dog tags naked once to entice me....

Anyway, so I go the email, encouraging us who left to come back for a week or something. Loaded up TR, played all last weekend.

I don't know what the difference is, what's changed, but I know, whatever it is, I like it, and that thing that was lacking is now in place. I also noticed an increase in new players and old players were still playing. I had one of the first big clans with a common name "aces" and had several people whom I had never met recognize me somehow.

Anyway, long story short. The game is alive and kicking, and I'm liking it tons. So i'm coming back.

See you in game :)

I literally played for about 30 seconds before realizing it is the same crap I left in February.

Since I'm bored and waiting for conan to come out I reinstalled TR to see how it is now and my overall impression was.....

Not going to waste my time with the game any more till I hear that they made real changes to the game. but by then I will be playing AOC and Warhammer Online.

So I wont be coming back anytime soon.

    Good luck to you all

same here - in fact it was the last round of nerfs to the spys that did it for me - I log in and find out that not only have all my skills been changed, my blades no longer do as much damage. Not a problem if I hadn't run out of missions half a level ago and was stuck in grind-land till lvl 40 and more missions

no - that was the last straw for me - perhaps they can save this bomb, but I don't think so, not given the direction the devs are taking it. 6 months from launch and the great nerf bat is still swinging as hard as it did in beta - nice going guys, way to gut a game and lose subscribers - hope you don't mangle the next project as bad as you did TR

Sounds like you guys are playing to grind.

I'm playing to play. Logged in last night, saw double xp for groups, got a conversation going in general chat, next thing I know I leveled just running around killing stuff.

Mind you I was on with my ranger w/ motor assist/rifles I was running my ass off spinning around, ducking behind rocks to pop a heal. I died a few times, but by just having fun for a bit I managed to put a pump in summoning a pistoleer, who was awesome.

Maybe I'm simple. Maybe I enjoy the subtle things in these games more than the overall picture.

The fun ends around 35-50. So have fun while you can!

I disagree , I have 2 50's and had fun the whole time. And working on my 3rd

The best thing in the game to me is the control points .  You can do those  any lev.  Now they made them worth alot more  XP  and being able to buy respecs and equip mods with the tokens you get for them , made them all that much better.

I have to disagree - I just made lvl 45 in Crucible. All but one mission on that map done, still have the instances to do.

Still fun - as long as I stop after 2 hours and do something else - like post on forums.
