Questions from a Possibly Returning Player

Played FFXI on Leviathan from 04-05, quitting due to most of my friends quitting as well as living the sad life of a THF that couldn't get into parties.



I picked up WoW shortly after, and since last month I've decided I've wasted enough time with it.



Recently, I've been thinking about coming back with a fresh start (partly because I deleted my old account or I can't remember it), and I had some questions come to mind...



-Is the game a lot different now than it used to be?



-What's a good server with a decent population and decent economy to play on?



-Can any class solo effectively?



-If I decide to come back, I'll be waiting for the 2008 collection. Should I buy it for the X360 or PC?

Yes its completly different. RMTs are almost gone. Lots of new stuff to do with the ToAH and WotG expansions. If you have a hard time finding a party just go into the past and do campaign battles for exp while you are waiting. You get great exp there plus you get points for some pretty sweet gear. You can have people in your MH now to show off your pimped out pad. New jobs to play with. Fun new hobbies to do exc.

Looking just to solo? Try Puppetmaster, Beastmaster or Blackmage. they are the jobs that can solo from 1-75. Other great soloers are Bluemage and im sure you know Redmage is the solo god at lvl75.

Theres no "best" server. They are all pretty much equal so no problems there.

Buy it on the 360. Its in High Def..... nuff said.
