Pre-order with old funcom account?

I have a funcom account for Anarachy Online and I want to use that same account for AoC...
... I have the pre-order code that gives you the War Rhino ... does anyone know if you HAVE to make a new account to activate it?

I had to make a new account to register my pre-order key but I was able to use the same username and password. This was kind of odd, considering I was able to use my existing account for Beta.

It creates a sub account inside of your anarchy online account. SO yes you can use your AO account, but it will create another seperate sub account with different login (if you prefer) for conan.
