Riding different races mounts

I was surfing around worldofwar.net and found this picture of a dwarf riding a hippogryph later I ound a troll riding a wolf.Does this mean trolls can ride Nightmares/Bat thing???

Dammit I can't get the picture up but if you tell me how i can!

Yeah, they're only taxi's though.

 

One flew over our head while we were killing boars. Flew real low to the ground as it swooped by us taking the player on board to his destination. Was pretty awesome.

Yeah, any race can ride any mount of the same faction as long as you are willing to sacrifice some of your skill points. The air taxis can be rode by any race of the same faction just by paying the fee. Meaning you don't have to use any extra skill points.

Gryphons are the taxis of the Alliance, and I've seen 2 different breeds.  One is the standard classical gryphon of mythology, the other is a more colorful version.. While I haven't seen the Hordes taxi's I hear they are bats.

Taxi's and mounts are different.  Taxi service only runs between certain cities and you pay XX cp every time you wish to travel.  Once at your destination the taxi vanishes.  Mounts on the other hand are creatures that you buy, summon and ride.  You keep them with you and can use them just about any time you wish.  Ram mounts are lvl 40+ and cost alot of silver and require the skill to ride them (as does the gnome mechianical windstrider (robot ostrich)).

Can an Alliance member ride a Horde Mount?  Well, prolly, however, you need 2 things, you need the skill for that actual mount and you need the mount.  It's unlikely, now, that an Alliance member could use a Horde trainer to gain this skill - but I would hope it's possible.  To actually buy the mount, you could always get another player to buy it for you.

You can, but currently in beta the trainers for the other faction mounts are hostile towards you so you can't train in em. As a Troll for example, if I managed to somehow reach the nightsaber trainer, he would attack me rather than talk to me.

So no dice atm on that one. But they've said that later they'll put in trainers that are neutral for the other side to use. I dunno... I sorta like that you can't atm... Needs to be some division.

 

Also, now that I've decided on horde, I'll get to ride a wolf anyways.

I'd like to see nuetral trainers that can train and sell a unique type of mount that no one race or faction has claim too. I am not too sure what it would be, though. Maybe some mythical beasts that have nothing to do with either faction. I would say a dragon but a lot of people would expect it to be able to attack and that you could fly on it. So I am not too sure.

It would be awesome if you could use long ranged weapons from mounts. Like while riding around on your mount, if you see something you want to kill, you could shoot your gun or arrow at it until you are forced into close range combat. At this point, you would be forced off the mount and into "normal" combat.

Well if I am thinking correctly......all the flying mounts...you cannot control.......so it couldn't be any type of flying beat that you get from the "neutral trainer"....

So if anything you would have to get some ground mount......and umm...Maybe like...a Huge Kudo...like the ones in WC3....ones with the drums on it......Maybe one of the Thunder lizards....liek a baby one......that can't attack......

and maybe you oculd buy some sort of unique "air" taxi mount...Harpy...Gargoyle....idk.....baby dragon...that can't attack.....idk...I eman I;m sure there could be plenty of ideas......
